New D5 Dive Watch Colorways from Vaer

Did you all see these new colors Vaer released for their auto diver lineup?

Vaer has done clean, classic, essentialist colors and styles really well. Their Meridian is practically the platonic example of a diver. Now, It's nice to see them branching out into more playful territory and mixing it up.

I like the looks of these. The bi-color bezels are clean, the style is refreshing, and I think the color schemes are nicely cohesive, especially the Malibu.

What do you all think?

Those do look like fun!

I did see them. Interesting, but not for me. 😆 I do like the design of the Meridian and have a DS4 Meridian Navy in my collection. I appreciate how Vaer took elements of classic divers of the 1970s and combined them into a watch with a retro aesthetic.

It's nice seeing a Pepsi colourway with this brighter hue of blue. I really like that one.

They aren't for me, but I love that Vaer is offering interesting options to people that want some colour.

I am in awe that they carried the color through to the date wheel. That is truly above and beyond.

·

That Malibu gives me some very welcome 1990s mallcore vibes, though that could be partially an effect of dental anesthics wearing off. Also kinda puts me in mind of this Timex Q that @sagebrush has, IIRC.

Holy moly I didn’t notice that but wow inderd!

I like the diversity. I need to look deeper into their catalog. I bet they have something I need! 😄

I think these are really cool and cohesive designs. Honestly, I've been liking Vaer more and more the last couple of years.

To be honest, they're not for me either. I'm kind of boring when it comes to watches because I prefer to have the color on the strap.

I have appreciated Vaer offering a lot of modern but classic colors and designs, but I also think it was high time that they did something like this for those who like it!

Mostly, as a former graphic designer, I was impressed at how these were executed. It's easy to just barf a bright color onto a watch, but these are clearly well thought out. It shows Vaer stretching a bit and showing what they can do design-wise.

I think they'll do well and I trust that eventually that money will come back into something that's right up my alley.

Quite ok, trying some Farer stuff here. Not so sure about red/pink date, otherwise cool color pallet.

Yes, the contrast is lacking with white on pastel.

Farer is really good at playing with color. 👍🏼

I love the colors. I don't think enough companies do enough bold colors. I get that they go with what they can sell easily, but at times I wish more brands would make some bolder color choices.

Lovely #divewatch super post. Thanks for sharing

We're glad you like them! They're definitely a step away from our traditional watch designs (my personal taste of much more classic), but we wanted to explore colors and textures a bit more for the enthusiast crowd.
