Bout freaking time Casio..🤘🏻🤙🏻👌🏻

·

Also to add, NUMBER 1 complaint will be about the "only" 50m WR.

The weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth will be audible across the interwebz. Nevermind that 90% will be too scared to take the dang thing in the pool, much less anything harder use than mowing.

Meanwhile I'll be buying the crap out of these for gifts to indoctrinate fam and friends into the wonderful world of watches.

·

But water resistance is down to 5 bar/50 m… 😕

·

6 foot deep in the pool or ocean I think I will be okay.

·

Gonna fly off the shelves.

·

If it has a screwed caseback and maintains the screw down crown then the 50m WR should be more than enough for day to day activities.

·

If it's anything like the "splashproof" 3 bar digi Casios that can actually go to 100m without problem, they're probably just playing it safe with the 50m but it will gladly go swimming.

·

Where’s the fish?

·

Can't see lugs? 20 mm? If so under 100 is a good purchase. But I feel this will be over 100$ and with 50 M it's very disappointing.

It's not about specs it's about the reputation of the Duro that was by far the best diver under 150 $

I own the original one and its an amazing watch but sadly to big to wear for me. We were all waiting for a smaller size Duro. This isn't a Duro. Period.

That Watchuseek article from back in the day should almost be required reading by any watch guy/gal. Pretty sure that gentleman definitively ended the wr debate....provided seals are checked and watch is new/serviced.

·

I think they should have done 40mm, but what do I know. It still needs sapphire and a decent strap and under £65.

·

The watch does not show when it switches to Canadian Casio site. US only looks like

Where’s the fish?

Thought I saw a post that Casio had lost the rights to the fish. No more marlin, unless it’s a Timex…

·

I like it but it's only a Duro lite if anything? Not a Duro!

How can you lose rights to a fish? It’s a fish! Maybe they should use a squid?

·

No 200m and no marlin. Nope, that is not a duro.. And it does not matter either. Casio has already a couple of models, especially in the Edifice line that offer more for less. We just have to wait until someone like Gates or Musk wears one and it is randomly spotted in an interview or a speach. Then the usual influencers to hype it for a couple of years and bam, it will become as well a "legend" and double its msrp. 🤑

·

The MRW-200 has 100m and this only 50m?…. Aaaaaaarrgghh

I don’t think Casio needs influencers to push an under $100 USD watch.

They are just fine without them. It’ll sell well regardless. Why?

It’s a Casio.

·

No Marlin and 50m. Hmm…reminds me of mid 70’s cars after the gas crisis.

·

👆🏻yep what he said… 50meter, no screw down crown!? It’s like the Seiko SKX replacement…guess screw down crown’s are too expensive to get? Bizarre that I can get them all day long for $70 on Tanderio’s from China with Seiko NG35’s auto movements. Casio is missing the point of what makes that such a fantastic piece. It’s not like that tiny Myota movement is too big to fit in a 38. Cost cutting ruining the formula 😫

·

38.5 including crown. True diameter 36mm. Lug width 16mm. FYI

Sadly, has neither. BIG swing and miss for a great brand
