Help! In need of strap recommendations

Whenever I dress, I find blue a safe and easy color to match. I assumed this would be the same for watches, but I'm struggling to find suitable straps for blue-dial watches. I'm primarily a bracelet person, but lately, I've been appreciating leather straps.

I'm specifically having trouble finding straps for my SLGA007. I figure that both blue and all shades of brown match with blue, but I'd like more options. The dial, in all seriousness, actually, plays with the light in a way that makes it challenging to find matching shades of blue. I've tried a greyish blue, which suits the watch perfectly in dimly lit conditions, but it looks off-putting as soon as the sun hits the dial.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Anyone else have the same challenge with blue diaIs? I'm a big fan of both Molequin and Delugs straps. If any of their straps seem fitting, please feel free to suggest them!

Suede Grey with a silver buckle?

Chestnut brown leather will complement that lovely deep blue dial. Example below. Or cognac/tan for a slightly sportier look.

My go to brand is RIOS1931. Made in Germany and unbeatable price/quality ratio. In the UK at any rate.

All different kinds of brown would work. Think of it like wearing a blue suit with brown shoes. Mix it up so darker is more formal and lighter is more casual, for example.

Brown leather 👍

I agree with @phat_tony , if you are looking for options besides brown, grey is great. Light Grey would be a nice contrast, especially suede for this time of year. Even a lighter blue strap would look nice with the dark blue dial. One last thing...perhaps match the color of the GS logo... bring that color out?

Try something off-white like an ivory or cream. It may help to accentuate the bright spots in the dial. If you’re not a light strap type (not sure I am) try something like a dark textured leather with a polished finish, like alligator or ostrich, which will complement the texture in the dial while remaining subdued at a glance.

Hit up Aaron Bespoke on IG. He can suggest a whole bunch of different options along with stitching to match or accentuate and all for a very reasonable price. I think mine was like $285 plus like $25 for shipping.

Dark brown with rose gold stitching to bring out the logo maybe?

I have a GS with a similar deep blue and gold accents. My favorite strap is probably this one.

There is just something about the grey strap with deep blue dial that sits right with me. Got this one from a Vietnamese strap maker on Etsy. It’s very comfortable as well.

Gray nubuck or suede strap. Whiskey or cognac colored shell cordovan would also look nice.

·

Brown Alligator with a nice deployant. This watch deserves that kind of respect. That dial is absolutely amazing... :)

Check out Finwatchstraps. There’s a nice brown sailcloth with deployant clasp. It looks great and is water proof. As suggested I think grey in suede, leather or even nylon (there’s a nice one on Finwatchstraps).

Great alternative! Do you know if they have 21mm straps or any other that has this size?
