I’ve had a great experience with a purchase on Watches of Switzerland’s website. Bought my Doxa Sub 300T. It shipped quickly and I love it.

Buying from online shops er fine. I also buy second hand watches online but I turn on the bullshit-radar before I do.

I haven't bought yet, but if I were buying a Rolex, I'd go to www.bobswatches.com. As for other brands, I have been on location to www.davidsw.com as they are based here in Orlando, but I haven't pulled the trigger, so I cannot vouch. But based on feedback, both seem very reputable. You pay a bit more, especially at DavidSW, but piece of mind has a price.

I've bought, sold, and traded with https://www.watchexchangecompany.com/, Matt is a pleasure to deal with and I've never had one issue or complaint.  He keeps higher end pieces and all the ones I've bought come full set and condition is as described.  Highly recommend.

it does look big on that photo. But it actually doesn’t wear big at all. The dial is like 39mm. the case sort of fades into the background when you look at it. It is a bit heavy though. But it feels good with the weight. And I’ve actually taken it diving several times and it’s just so wonderfully legible. It’s quirky for sure but I love it and would never sell it.

I use Chrono24 and I just buy more affordable brands so it works well for me, but I’ve heard that some people who’ve bought luxury brands without all the papper work have been burnt. I’ll second the Watchfinder vote, but otherwise it depends on where you are and what you want. I’ve heard good things about Jomashop and their listed prices look good, but the import costs to Sweden take away that benefit.

I have had good experiences with Chrono24 and Crown & Caliber. Crown & Caliber communicated well, shipped quickly and the watch was as described. I bought a used Tag Heuer from Chrono24 and it went well.

I’ve purchased vintage #cartier and vintage #rolex inline from chrono24. Been fine in my experience.

Crown and Caliber and Hodinkee are both great ... I may be biased

I used Matt to buy a new Moon Watch and he was great to work with.

David SW - Yes he charges a premium. Always did, even before the nutty prices post COVID / Instagram.

Crown & Caliber - biggest complaint is very few watches with original box / papers...and their photos / magnifying tool against a white background are not great. I prefer more realistic photos ala David SW. However, service was good / responsive.

Jomashop may not have the watch advertised...and will try to source it after you express interest.

Tropical Watch and HQ Milton are also both very reliable - mainly for Vintage.

Commercial offerings: Chrono24, domestic online shops, eBay. And occasionally, brick & mortar stores.

Private sellers: Chrono24.

I’ve purchased both my Orients from Creation watches out of Singapore. Excellent service.
