What's your "Red Carpet" watch?
Just for fun and curiosity, what's your "Red Carpet" watch? In other words, if you got invited to a widely publicized event where media will be there, snapping photos of you, as you walk down that red carpet, what you wearing? Keep in mind that the media and bloggers are gonna write about you the next day, and so quite possibly, the watch you choose to wear is the watch that people are going to identify with you. And like with any Red Carpet event, it's a formal attire occasion, but don't feel the need to restrict yourself to only dress watches.
Also, choose from your current collection, rather than choosing an aspirational piece that you don't have yet.
For me, I'd go with my current flavor of the week, my Seiko 5 SNKL23, on a Forstner Klip, with a modded domed sapphire. I think the Klip bracelet gives it a unique and dressy look, and along with the sapphire and polishing of the case, markers, and hands, the whole thing just sparkles and dances in the light.
