What’s your favorite watch podcast?

I’ve tried several of the watch podcasts out there like Worn and Wound, 40&20, and Two Broke Watch Snobs. Although I enjoy each of these at some level, none of them quite scratch the itch I have for a more intellectual discussion of watches. What are your favorites?

TBWS and Fratello Talks are my weekly choices.

Two Broke Watch Snobs

·

TBWS: they introduce me to stuff I would not have know about otherwise...

·

Podcast🤔 I've only just got over the shock of losing VHS. 😂

To be fair I’m actually an old time radio guy, and love long form audio. I discovered podcasts recently as a good replacement. 👴👨‍🦳

I’ll have to check out Fratello Talks, thanks!

Any platform you guys use for podcasts or just g**gle it?

·

There's pod casts? Bad enough watching YouTube with pictures!

I’ve just been using the iOS app to search, although I’m aware there are other methods I haven’t ventured outside the app.

Thanks, I'm on android but will see what fits.

Only one I've ever listened to but I've really enjoyed some of the episodes from about effing time

·

The Grey NATO is good.

The problem with watch podcasts is that we're dealing with something which has to be seen. The same is true of movie podcasts which make even less sense. No matter how good the ekphrasis is, watches are visual products which we want to see, and the podcasts (and many YouTube channels suffer from this too) often devolve into rambling about things we can read quicker on forums.

·

Fratello On Air, TBWS, Scottish Watches, Worn & Wound and the Gray NATO.

·

Fratello is the only one I’ve listened to. Honestly I don’t think most watch media suits the podcast format well because of how visual it is.

On Android, I use PocketCast. Works great.

If the WC mobile app included a podcatcher to support watch podcasts that would be dope 👍

*Hint* *hint* @Max

·

I've listened to several but the one I don't want to miss is 40&20.

·

I listen to many podcasts, and even have a sci-fi podcast that regularly charts quite well for itself. So I like and "get" the medium a lot. But in terms of watch podcasts - none. Watches are such a visual thing, I've never seen much sense in listening to audio about them.

·

Overtime - on Spotify. They are great.

·

It was About Effing Time but unfortunately that's finished 😔

Scottish Watches for insight and news, Watchfinder Podcast for sheer entertainment and humor.

Scottish Watches requires subtitles in English. 😂

·

About Effing Time is #1. New one is This Watch Life. It’s a daily and 15-20 mins max. Fun one

·

Scottish Watches all the way. I’ll sometimes I’ll check out an episode of the A Blog To Watch Podcast because they’ll get a guest I want to hear but haven’t heard elsewhere, but I can’t do it regularly, Ariel Adam’s has a voice made for silent movies.

Keeping Time podcast from the owner of Oster Jewlers in Denver(a must if if are ever in Denver) is the hidden podcast gem for interviews. Really with listening to the old episodes with Parmigiani Fleurier before they really burst out of the gate the last few years, and then newer ones with them.

Stealth wealth flex of watch discussions is the Spikes Car Radio podcast to hear those hosts and occasionally Jerry Seinfeld opine on watch collecting over the years.

·

I am still holding out hope we will one day get Tenn & Two back, however it is nice to hear Kat on W&W.

·

The fine watches podcast

·

I kind of like the this watch that watch YouTube. His content is quite intellectual.

I am amazed no one has mentioned OT The Podcast. Two Australian hosts, absolutrly great. Good interviews and good humour: I highly recommend.

Otherwise I listen to many already mentioned: W&W, Fratello Talks, Scottish Watches. Sometimes The Grey NATO. I’m prepared to try the latest Hodinkee Radio episode but haven’t listened much since the OG crew left and it stopped.

Also I recently discovered Two Broke Watch Snobs - really good.

Scottish Watches. Riki cracks me up. Good banter with Dave!

I really like the OT! I shut down when any of them go into camera tech stuff which they started to do more frequently, thanks for the reminder I’ll take another look at what episodes are up since!
