Here are the two that I most consistently have non-watch people comment on:
The most, is my Signum bronze cased meteorite dial that was heat-treated for the purple hue, and I put it on a bronze Zelos bracelet to complete the ensemble.
The other, my Isotope x Scottish Watches Podcast. This may have been one of the greatest statements now when looking back at releases. I am in the front-side of my 40’s, and everyone who opines on the Isotope is in their 20’s. Not to mention the untimely passing of their head designer, this is one of their last watches that has the stepped dial.
My mint-chocolate Underd0g has also been my favorite dial to look at in recent months. It sold a work colleague to get back into watches as well, and he’s waiting on their next drop!
commented onWould you consider a Rolex Submariner as a daily beater?·
I’ve tried to wear Subs as dailies twice and it didn’t work out. First an all steel living in the Denver, CO area, then a two-tone when living in the Austin, TX area. A. Helped me learn rose gold works better for me than yellow gold. B. They drew more unwanted attention than I was comfortable with, beyond my own enjoyment of them. Glad when I eventually parted with each, it was by choice rather than by force.
Next Rolex will be a black dial, orange bolt second-hand Milgausse.
I really like the OT! I shut down when any of them go into camera tech stuff which they started to do more frequently, thanks for the reminder I’ll take another look at what episodes are up since!
Scottish Watches all the way. I’ll sometimes I’ll check out an episode of the A Blog To Watch Podcast because they’ll get a guest I want to hear but haven’t heard elsewhere, but I can’t do it regularly, Ariel Adam’s has a voice made for silent movies.
Keeping Time podcast from the owner of Oster Jewlers in Denver(a must if if are ever in Denver) is the hidden podcast gem for interviews. Really with listening to the old episodes with Parmigiani Fleurier before they really burst out of the gate the last few years, and then newer ones with them.
Stealth wealth flex of watch discussions is the Spikes Car Radio podcast to hear those hosts and occasionally Jerry Seinfeld opine on watch collecting over the years.
