The topic of next weeks show is all about the mighty G’s!!! If you were new to the world of these chunky anti shock beasts which ones would you recommend?? I think the one in the picture is a no brainer?!?!;) but what’s next?
I’m a big fan of the G-Steel line. Really like my GST-b400D-1AER. Looks great and with Tough Solar and Bluetooth connectivity you connect it one time to your phone and never worry about settling it again.
If you can find one, the GW-M5610U-1ER is a no-brainer. Has all the functions you could want. Also a great size even on small wrists like mine. I somehow lucked out and got it brand new end of 2021 for £80.
One of my most worn watches because of the versatility it provides.
GD350BER was and is my choice. Discontinued now, but does all your base G-Shock things, in a case neither round nor square, and has that quick start timer and vibration alerts. Handy when you surreptitiously need to know the time without being obvious, or know when however-many-minutes have passed if you are caught in a work conversation or similar. All without looking at your wrist and thereby being impolite.
Stealth isn’t just for dodgy types and the military.
The GWM5610-1. It really could be the only watch you actually need to own.
Solar powered means years (decades?) without switching batteries. Atomic timekeeping cannot be beaten for accuracy. Different time zones, full stopwatch functions, alarms, 200 metres of water resistance and a size that fits on all wrists. It's the perfect G-Shock.
I'm coming around to the realization that the Gshock for me is the metal type with the metal bracelet. I'm balking only because the one I like is like $800. I don't want to waste good money if I end up not liking it.
Nice video — my kid is a big fan, which is good because he usually disapproves of my watching watch vids on YouTube, gets in the way of video game ones — after watching it I feel I should let you know that as far as I know the GD350 was the first ‘vibe alarm’ so if you don’t have one in your history collection, you might want to nab one.
Funnily enough, the football timer you recently got is the same model as my first ‘big boy’ watch (when I was a kid, obviously) and they are like hens teeth these days, so congrats on finding that secret shop you mentioned.
Love all your videos, even if I’m not currently in the market. Lots of fun to watch. I do wish you would make a list of those 5 in the video description, since I can never remember all the model numbers when watching the video.
Yep. DW5600 all the way. As barebones a G as you can get. Not terribly chunky but does what it needs to. After that the GM5610 and the DW6900.
MWC have you seen that Casio are reissuing the original G? Thought it'd be right up your street

Lots of mention of the venerable dw5600 and gw-m5610, so I'm tossing in the DW-6900, it's a great watch!
5610 of course
My 8yo son loves his Square! Wearing it on vacation now 😎
Just bought my first G-Shock I end up with the sw5600 and intend on getting some strap adapters for it. I was also looking at the ga2100 as well.

I've worn my GBA800 when I'm doing physical labor. Its survived some bad impacts when I worked in a warehouse.
GW-M5610 De-chunked 💪💪💪

Got a 5610, I do everything with it. Swimming, garden work, etc.
Also got a 6900, don't like the fit of it. It is very flat, hurts my wrist after a while, gonna sell that one.
I think I'm going to look into a mudman, looks great!
Hope to see more MiP displays in the future, they are very crisp. Dare I say, maybe a classic square MiP.
Thanks for the content, great as always!
