You're welcome! I would add that the lume on the Citizen BM8180 also isn't that good, although it is still much better than the Timex, all the numerals have a nice (albeit weak) blue glow.
Those are three excellent watches to choose from!
With the Timex, whilst I agree about the lume (it's basically non-existent) the movement is great, extremely accurate (+/- 1 second a month)! The only "issue" I have had with it is that it takes longer to charge than Eco-Drive or Tough Solar. It's my only solar watch that I have found needing a recharge in the winter.
I'm wearing the Timex today, but have been wearing the Citizen for most of the past week. Currently solar quartz is more practical whilst I work at home this month.
The Seiko would also be great, a 36mm of the Seiko 5 I have sounds like a perfect size. I still like mine because it has a unique mix of blue and gold with the bead blasted finish. Plus it was a gift so it's going nowhere.
Just be aware that the 4R36 movement is a lucky dip. I have two watches with this movement. The SRPG is between -3 to +5 and my SRPE is -2 to -10. I also (not pictured) have an NH35 (technically the same but without a day) and that is +10 seconds.
I found the standard GA2100 size too big for my small wrists. The Square 5610U is a surprisingly good fit on me though.
An alternative option, not a G-Shock, but is a Casio with all of the other features is the Casio Lineage (LCW-M100TSE-1AER). Has MB6 and Tough Solar. Also despite being 39.5mm only has 44mm lug to lug so is very wearable.
Usually two, one for work (date is a must) then I switch to something else when I get home. At the moment I'm working at home so have actually just been sticking to my 37mm Citizen with day/date for comfort and convenience.
