A reward for hard times
A little over 2 years ago I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. It was an extremely difficult time in my life as my daughters were only 13 at the time and I'm a single father. I've been through surgery, radiation therapy. And just yesterday finished a two year course of hormone therapy. I can't tell you how hard emotionally and physically this has been, especially with an extremely busy schedule at work and as a parent. About a year ago I became interested in horology and it has become my oasis in the storm. I have a very nice collection at this point but I knew that I had to do something special for myself to celebrate the end of my treatment. This watch came today after a ridiculous 30 days of trying to get it from Germany to my home in Indiana. Looking at the beauty of this piece almost makes me cry.
