GO SeaQ homage ✔️ New on-the-fly adjustable clasp ✔️ San Martin ✔️

While not at all opposed to homages, my interests have shifted lately. However, I thought that this new drop by San Martin (37mm case with 38mm bezel...

The Maen Brooklyn 36 (or: the "Month-Day-Date")

I am not trigger-happy when it comes to purchasing watches, but when swedish-dutch microbrand Maen announced the Manhattan 37 last year, I couldn't re...

One of the most cohesive and convincing designs in all of micro brand world. 👍

Exactly. I love this entertaining mix of overwhelming, underwhelming, whelming and bat-shit crazy that's WaW. 👍

I, for one, do at least enjoy the 40mm D-D roman numerals on the 36mm D-D. But that's about it.

Menswear aficionado here. So, putting all the well-meaning "if anyone's got a problem with that, tell 'em to FO" encouragements to one side for a second and taking your question seriously, I still think that a discreetly sized diver like the BB54 does just about work - even if it's just because of Connery's old 38mm Sub, which pushed (or rather: forced) divers into the realm of being a tolerable choice for formal attire, as long as they're not too massive. Discretion and being able to slide underneath a cuff is key, and the BB54 is neither particularly loud, nor unwieldily thick.

Baltic MR01, Lorier Zephyr - my initial thoughts. However, shout-out to Söner from Sweden: Small family-owned micro with - apparently - good build quality. And I like Gondolo-like Tanks.

Hmm, their five link bracelet doesn't really speak to me. I miss the bracelet they did on the first edition of the Hyperion. Looked better and more solid.

Absolutely! While personally I would lean a bit more towards Monta (a little less rugged-utilitarian and a bit more elegant), Formex is on par. Both excellent choices in the sub 2k range.
