I feel you, often times I feel like a dive watch is too casual for a sports coat. What I have found is to work is to go with something that on the more casual end of even sports jackets: i.e. patterned jackets or cotton/linen jackets to "match the mood".
Your picture and attire looks great too - I'm also thinking if a strap will make the dive watch fit in better.
I used to think it’s ok but then I bought a dress watch and now I actually think a dress watch is better and I don’t think i can really wear a sports watch with a jacket. Kind of weird but yeah go with a dress watch if that’s your intuition just elevates the whole look
I think it’s fine! Unless your dealing with the older generation most ppl don’t know what the difference in a dress watch and a sports watch and a Dive watch. They see a shiny watch and assume that it’s a dress watch.

Looks fine to me.
Appropriate to who? If anyone finds it inappropriate tell them to pound sand.
Wear it dressy or casual. Wear the watch; don't let the watch wear you.
Fine with me tbh.
Very appropriate
Looks fine though
It is a sports coat and diving is a sport so I say they go together. 🤿⌚ & 🏌🧥
I think it’s totally fine. Certainly a better look than a smartwatch and a suit.
Looks perfectly fine. People wear submariners with everything just cause they own a Rolly, so we can wear our tudors with anything we want to 😉
Personal choice. You have a terrific watch and goes well with the sports coat imo. My only concern would be its fit under the cuff.
Black Bay falls under the Bond rule. Cool enough for Bond, cool enough for the rest of us. Else we'd all be wearing wifebeaters under a shirt.
I used to wear an Apple Watch with my suits. Diver is much better!
It depends on the thickness of diver. I mean Bond wears a Omega SM 300 with a Tux...so you do you.
Looking good my man!
If you don't like it, don't wear it, but I think most people will say it looks fine.

Haven't you ever heard of James Bond?
There are no rules!
I agree with the OP.
I’ll allow it. No seriously, looks good to me!
I have no issues with it, but ultimately it comes down to you and what you feel comfortable with.

I’m digging the diver with the suit
Wear what you love. Dont overthink it. 😁
You’re overthinking it.
And for the Black Bays, these are pretty much the most perfect embodiment of dive watches that are more for style
I love that watch and would wear it with anything and everything
If you like it, who cares? Anyone who’d judge you for wearing an “inappropriate” watch probably isn’t worth your time. (See what I did there?)
