What are your favourite microbrand dress watches?

For my next purchase I am looking for a dressier watch. The white dial Lorier Zephyr is at the top of my wishlist at the moment.

Image

But I'm open to other suggestions and was curious to see what the WC community had to say. So please share your recommendations or any microbrand dress watches you desire yourself.

I don't own one, but I've been eyeing the Visitor. The white dial version is sold out

Looks very nice. Especially the white and black dial versions. But that date… was that really necessary? 😂

I like the simplicity of the Venezianico Redentore Ultrablack and Avventurina...

If you like the tonneau case shape it’s very hard to beat at its price point. Definitely something quite unique

at that price point it is unparalelled, red variant is also👌

·

Oh yeah that red dial is beautiful! But maybe less versatile in terms of matching with outfits. How has been your experience with your new red dial Urushi ?

·

IMO the Lip T18 is unbeatable if you want the rectangular case shape for a microbrand dress watch

Attention to detail on this is impressive

I met the owner/designer at the District Time show. The thought & process that went into the hand design alone was amazing. They are pen nubs, and the minute had has a tiny split to imply the minute hand is marking out the minute indices, which are a sandwich beneath the main dial. When I walked up to his booth and announced he does some of the best hands in the game, his face lit up and he explained why they are as they are. Dude is super invested in what he produces. Much respect.

It’s on my shortlist as well! Love the history and the French connection since I have some French in the family from Dijon (quite close to Besançon where Lip is from).

I‘d love one of the limited edition T18 Originals. Applied indices, La Joux Perret calibre… but also 2500€ and sold out 😁

Love it! The green dial is also beautiful. And just 9 mm thin 👌🏼😍

Venezianico Ultra Black is on pre order now for delivery in June.

The Melbourne Watch Company makes a nice looking dress watch.

That’s the great thing about micros for me. So much thought and passion that goes into designing the watches.

Yeah this looks pretty awesome 👌🏼 What’s your wrist size for reference? (preferably in cm for a fellow European 😂)

Around 20cm. This is the t24 model 👍🏻

·

Baltic MR01, Lorier Zephyr - my initial thoughts. However, shout-out to Söner from Sweden: Small family-owned micro with - apparently - good build quality. And I like Gondolo-like Tanks.

Two I own are the

1. Dufrane Whitney collaboration. Hand painted dial. Limited Edition.

Image

2. Anordain Fabrik Salmon dial. Available without the years long waitlist.

Image

Others you could consider are the Dufrane Waterloo, the Jack Mason Ellum and the Firle Sennen.

Great suggestions! That Firle is beautiful, simple but very elegant 👌🏼

The size looks great on your wrist! Still don’t know if I would prefer the T18 or T24 though 😅

Fears looks nice, but for those prices I‘d buy a Nomos instead…

Definitely more value with Nomos. A friend of mine has a couple and the design AND the build are fantastic imo.

I feel it is good on my wrist but I would consider the t18 if I had a smaller wrist 👍🏻

Kuoe Tokyo is my favorite micro for dress watches. I love that vintage look.

Their designs are lovely but unfortunately too small for me at 35 mm

My wife has a Kuoe on the way and I think I’m more excited than she is :)

That Lorier looks like a great pick. I have a Lorier Falcon and I am impressed at the materials and workmanship for the price. That dress watch has a very nice and unique look. My dress watches are less dressy but if I still wore suits I’d be tempted to get that one.

I keep hearing only good things about Lorier, so I‘m excited to try one of their watches. I don’t wear a suit regularly, but am planning to wear this with mostly business casual or even some casual outfits
