Which is the best Swatch Collaboration?
Two years in we have had the original batch of moonswatches. The revised Neptune which doesn’t turn wrists blue. The moonshine gold editions. The original batch of fifty fathoms. The Black Sea of storms. And now the snoopy mission to moonphase all white.
From all of these I’ve narrowed it down to my four favourites (sorry mission to Mercury fans, it is too similar to the moon.) But which is the best?

Got to be the ocean of storms. Mechanical. Nice robust lumed bezel and better glass. Cool exhibition caseback with glass rotor. Nice black colourway with sunburst dial and cool indices.
Thrifty Fathoms for me.
The subdial layout just looks off to me on the Moonswatch. Do like the Snoopy tho.

Swatch should set itself a challenge and make a watch, branded as just a Swatch, that people want to buy in the same sort of numbers. That would be a real challenge.

The whole shop is full of such things. Some sell really well (last years neon collection for example sold out) most seemingly don’t. The whole idea of these collabs I think is to get people in to swatch.
My first MoonSwatch was Saturn. I've picked up a few more since then. Told myself I wouldn't get the mission to the moon one because I intend to get an Omega Speedmaster at some point, and why have two similar watches? Then they made the moonshine one and I figured a little variation could be fun. Plus it may be years before I can go for the Moonwatch.
I definitely think Swatch applied lessons they learned from the MoonSwatch to the Scuba Fifty Fathoms, but I do think I prefer the MoonSwatch case design more. Wish it had the better scratch resistance though.

Yeah a moonswatch 2 that is a bit more robust would be cool.
I don’t have the ocean of storms or the snoopy so I can’t make a conclusion. Having said that, I am slightly inclined towards the Blancpain x swatch

Yes this is my exact ordering! Ok I’ve not owned the Neptune - but I have had a Pluto and a Uranus so I think I have the gist of it!
