Your watch collection is more concentated in which watch group?

Good day watch enthusiast. I'm curious to find out which watch group you guys/gals tend "to gravitate" the most in your current collection. I will start with mine. I own watches from the Swatch group (two Omega's, and one Hamilton), Kering (one Gucci watch), Timex (one), Citizen (two each), Seiko (two each), Rolex (two each) and Casio (five each). That being said, I have more invested in the Casio group. Thank you!

Micro brands

E. all of the above

·

I prefer the DIY boutique brand. All else is someone else's imagination

·

I love some swatch and some Richmond. And grand seiko.

·

Yes, I would love to put more options (including micro-brands and independent) in the poll but, I only had four slots to fill with options. Not very "user friendly" poll builder setup. Thank you for sharing your opinion!

·

F. None of the above

Oris, Brietling, Stowa, Baltic.

·

Mine is all over the place.

·

Does “the Soviet Union” count? Lol

Vostok and Seiko-Epson each have the highest number of watches in my collection, as far as firms go

·

Where’s the poor man group Hahahaha

·

Mostly independent and historical with micro brands thrown in. I rather dislike Swatch group and avoid them for personal reasons.😎

·

Not sure I can answer the question if it is sheer number of watches...but I can easily answer based on $$$...Richemont...no question...

Just a few of the tasty bits...

I honestly don't think the group has much to do with it for most people. It's not like the parent has much impact on design language, history, etc. I like and own what I think is a pretty coincidental mix

Seiko, for sure.

Casio

I also love my Casio's. There is no better "everyday" beater watch for the money.

The Everyman beater

·

Other - being none or pre-“grouping”

·

Apart from a couple of Certinas (and possibly Oris, not sure whether they are independent) all my watches are in "other" and I'm nearing 100.

·

Half of my watches are from Casio.

Yes indeed, Oris is independent. Thank you!

Mostly vintage with a fair number of brands that are now defunct.

I went with Swatch group. I have more from their companies by the time Hamilton, Swatch, Mido, Omega, etc., are counted up, running and not. 😉

·

Swatch as I am bought into Omega as my brand of choice, and really dig Tissot with it's long history and great back catalogue. After that it would be Seiko/Orient and Citizen/Fredrique Constant. Then a slew of German brands (Stowa, Nomos, Sinn, Junghans), so yeah, into three conglomerates, but quite a few independents and micros (Monta, Lorier).

·

E. Microbrands (mostly Seiko/citizen movements though)

D. Seiko & Citizen

Awesome collection, Congrats!

Thanks!

·

Equal opportunity kind of guy. I have lots of brands but buy watches I like. Not from any particular brand.

I'm the same way. I'm also an equal opportunity" kind of guy. usually I buy If the watch aesthetically appeal to me and has a decent movement. Thank you for your input!

I love vintage watches! I own four vintage watches myself (two Radiant, one Marvin and one Omega). Modern watches overall are more reliable but they are missing "the beautiful lines" that vintage watches had. They don't make it aesthetically like they used to. Thank you!

Honestly I think it’s just not having a watch box and forgetting what I’ve bought over the years 😂 I could do some consolidation for sure. Can never bring myself to be bothered to go through the faff of selling!

I'm the same way. Selling is more hassle than buying! 😂

Mine is under all four, but ticked Swatch group as have three in that one.
