Love that cartier

Oh James!

I think a Bremont Broadsword makes good sense for the dressier occasions.

And a Timex Ironman for anything that is planned to be rough. They are simple, reliable, no transmitters/receivers, and common enough to not draw attention.

Mido Commander. What else, really.

My answer for almost everything, the VC Everest series

·

I am afraid we are stuck with Omega for the time being, but if there was going to be another watch, it should come from the UK. I equally like and dislike the idea of Bremont, plus they have aligned themselves with a Kingsman and you cannot have competing clandestine agencies. That leaves the obvious answer; The best spy deserves to wear arguably the best watchmaker's watch, who happens to reside in Great Britain, Roger W Smith. The series 4 is below, but I trust that genius can come up with something incredible and unlike most watchmakers in the UK, it is UK in and out.

If product placement wasn’t a thing, I would say Sinn.
I think the quartermaster wouldn’t go for anything dressy or flashy.

·

It wouldn’t happen in a billion years, but I’d say harken back to those Roger Moore Seiko years and go with the GS Ti 200m Black Stream

Dang it! You beat me to it by 22nd a 😉😂

·

Reminds me of an old article.

Given how he's stuck driving British cars out of national pride, and given the promotional spirit of a certain manufacturer, I second Bremont.

The King of course is a Parmigiani man, apparently. But a real spy would wear modern tech, both for the capabilities and because it blends in with every other schmoe, even plutocrats and supervillains.

Oh, you wanted a photo. Here ya go! NFT!

I'm sure Bond will need to swap watches throughout the movie so all three limited edition Omegas will have appropriate screentime as a thank you for financing 10 % if the production.

I think I'd go with the JLC since it is such an amazing watch...it would have to have something hidden in the reverso flip that could set off an explosive or shoot a poison dart...

It's really an awesome watch...

·

On further thought, I think the 36mm Parmigiani would make for the perfect watch for whoever the love interest is for James Bond...maybe a blonde Sicilian heiress of noble blood...

I would select this variation though...with the diamond indices...this is the one I want to get for my daughter...

The bro crack me up with this after the release of the 50 mm titanium Rolex.

How real do we want to get? The watch brand carried the most *by far* on the wrist of military and law enforcement is of course the G Shock. The military was one of the earliest to adopt quartz watches. And it's been worn by us navy seals, NASA astronauts, and swat teams the world over.

Of course we're talking fantasy but I think Q should invent a sexy, high tech G Shock (in partnership with Casio).

It would, however, have to be a watch he can wear with tailored clothing with a sporty look, without looking out of place. The Rolex is Dr No and the Seamaster 300 in Goldeneye are perfect for that.

You have your answers, and he even says it on his website hahah

How about any Casio Oceanus watches? Those fit what you said about a watch that Bond can wear with tailored clothing (not so sure about the sporty look).

Sad as it sounds, the James Bond franchise as a concept is dead. I seriouslydoubt that it will be familiar at all to us. The ”me too” movement and the killing off of Daniel Craig can only lead to something entirely different, whether you feel that’s something positive or not. Makes me sad because I’ve been a fan since Goldfinger. Maybe the watch will be a lady’s Cartier 😖

I don’t know. Part of me would like to see a more realistic take on James Bond: Mi6, being a government agency has to make budget cuts, not to mention the optics of a humble government servant saving the world with fancy Rolexes and Omegas doesn't make for good politics when the economy is in the tank. From hereon out all 00 agents are issued Casios.

Thanks - appreciate the kind words. My wife is very understanding of my addiction.

I think it's just because you and I share the same aesthetics when it comes to watches that you can appreciate those that I own.

Others would bemoan the lack of any Rolexes, Panerais, RMs, Hublots, and similar popular brands. I mean there are no ROs and no bewelled watches...Producer Michael would be aghast at what I collect. 😉 And Nico Leonard would be sitting there saying it was all shite because it wasn't a Rolex, an AP, an RM or a Casio. 😉

Lol they buy watches for others, who cares what bloggers think) first rule of watch collecting is that u must like the watch unconditionally unless it's hublot . If it's hublot, you should never speak of it to anyone ... I remember the quote from mad men when Don wants to buy one car and a salesman tells him "those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere, these are for when you've already arrived".

And yes what a wonderful woman she is . Seems like you have been blessed with both Good taste in woman and watches haha

Idris Elba might save it ) I see him rocking a girrard perregaux laureato

·

Well, I've read somewhere recently that the actor Christopher Lee (Ian Fleming's cousin), was the sole inspiration for James Bond.  He was a British Intelligence Officer in WW2, first rate shot, swordsman, polyglot, polymath etc etc.  Therefore, it has to be an IWC to resemble this IWC Shaffhausen which was from Christopher Lee's personal collection below. 😃

I think he would be good 👍🏻

·

Smite me, but I wouldn't mind a Jane Bond with a tricked out Cartier Santos.

·

Personally, I see this bond as a bit of a metal fan:

But let's be honest.... the movie industry is so woke, it's more likely to be this:

I love the watch, if only it had some type of a unique bezel...

Oh, I agree!  While I feel like the scalloped bezel is visually appealing, it is not ideal to use.  I love my Seamaster Diver 300’s.  However, I like the knurled bezel on the Seamaster 300 better in terms of usability.  And I don’t even want to get into the ‘why, why, why’ of the product names of the watches being so needlessly close.

·

A Casio AE-1200/Royale would be cool. It would be a very fitting choice imo given all the complications and world time functions. Maybe mod it into a metal case and a coloured screen with a filter to further fit the spy theme.

·

That is a rather wonderful collection. Vastly more interesting than a drawerful of Rolexes and Omegas (and consequently a bit Marmite!).

I could maybe see Moore or Lazenby wearing some of these, at a stretch, but never Dalton or Craig. Because in the end Bond is really rather conservative and conventional in his tastes, and he's the guy with a drawerful of Rolexes and Omegas.

Now, if they were to remake The Saint, or Jason King, you'd have just the watch for him...

·

Love either the omega sea master 300 spectre or the lorier neptune
