BB58 issues : Should I buy one? Anyone have one without any issues?

I've been eyeing the BB58 for a few years. Always wanted one, but held back for a number of reasons. I've been reading a lot of reports of Tudor QC issues and that worries me. Reports of the MT5402 movement just stopping less than a year from purchase, or indices falling off the dial, or the lume pip falling off the bezel insert. I live near Dallas RSC and never used them before, but having them local, and the 5 year warranty makes me feel better about purchasing a BB58.

I would like to hear the stories of people that have had the BB58 for years with no issues. I just want a reliable small-ish dive watch to accompany my 3861 Speedy. Should I be worried with the alarmingly high number of QC issues for a $4k watch? Or should I go with my heart and just get it...and deal with the consequences lol.

Have both the black and blue one for years now, no issues for both on my end. If you’re worried you can buy a secondhand that’s been running fine for a while?

·

If it were my money? I'd buy one. Oh wait, already did! Purchased mine from AD just shy of 2 years ago and have had zero issues. The MT5402 movement is an accuracy champ, averaging +0.1 spd over 195 days of wear (per Watch Tracker app).

·

I‘ve had mine for a year and a half with no issues (except wishing the bracelet had the t-fit clasp). It’s still running like new and looks great.

·

I have had mine since late summer 2020. There has been no issues except some trash talk from @Porthole and @Aurelian.

·

I have three various 58s dating back 5 years or so. No issue and all keep great time.

·

Get it

·

No issues here. My favourite watch.

·

I bought my BB58 blue from the AD in 2021. I think it's the best watch I own. And I own a Speedy 3861 too.

·

I’ve had my BB58 for 4 years. Looks great, runs great still!

·

My BB58 is as solid as a rock

·

I haven’t had any issues with my BB58 but I wish I had waited another year before buying. I think it’s well worth the upgrade to get the Pelagos 39.

Fantastic! I think I’ll get the bb58! 😬

I have the BB58 bronze and never had any issues. The watch is a bit more than 1 year old and so far so good. No complaints. The BB series is great!

·

I was going to ask the same question.

·

Acquired both BB GMT and BB58 Navy from the local AD over 2 years ago. The GMT developed the well known date jump issue and was fixed under warranty. The BB58 Navy is flawless.

As a result the GMT has departed from my collection.

·

My BB58 also had no issue.

·

I don’t have the 58 but the GMT and haven’t had any issues in almost two years. I bought in July 2021.

Love my watch and have put it through its paces…so if it breaks probably more my fault than Tudor. 😂🤣😂

Thanks everyone. That makes me feel a lot better. I just ordered a gently used BB58 blue with bracelet and warranty card with time remaining. Really excited!!!

·

I can’t speak to the BB, but I have two Pelagos(es?) and a Ranger. All positive here.

·

Got it! Running a bit slow at around -5 seconds a day but fine for now. I have the warranty so if it gets any worse I can bring it in to RSC.
