Watch Box Recommendation
I have been after this style of watch box for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger on one yet as they are £80 on Amazon and it just hasn’t been a priority. I like this style of box for practical purposes, I don’t really need it to be a display box of any sort, just something sturdy that will provide some protection for my babies.
As usual AliExpress came to the rescue, and I managed to find one of these for less than a quarter of the price on Amazon 👇
I was a bit nervous that this would turn up and the plastic would be brittle and nasty, but no, the quality of the plastic is good, nice and thick with some flexibility to it - if it were to take a fall it wouldn’t just shatter. The fastening clips are nice and tight and secure the box with a good satisfying ‘click’.
The inners of the box are removable (top and bottom) I’m thinking about using a little spray glue to lightly fix the top panel in place but it’s no biggie. The foam cushions for the watches are quite soft but usable, and the surround is nice and deep with plenty of foam at the bottom.
All in all I’m am over the moon with this box, it cost me around £16, was delivered to London quickly via Royal Mail ( AliExpress even notifies you when it’s out for delivery) and the quality has genuinely exceeded my expectation. My only real problem is that I need another one now!

That's an absolute bargain. I have a Peli Case but need a new inner for the watches. Unfortunately it's double the cost for an inner as it is to just buy a new box...

I never realized there were off branded Peli-Cases!! I learn something new everyday. They’re so expensive and have more than half a dozen because I thought they were the only option for my beloved borosilicate glass rigs!

£18 case from Aliex, I also use a Vintage Briefcase for my vintage watches, a 8 slot Invicta dive case for my Invictas, a Steel Case for my Favs & 2 4 slot winders for my favourite favourites.
I have a pelican but it was ridiculously overpriced though it is solid. that looks comparable and much cheaper.

Mine just sits hidden away so branding isn’t a problem, pretty sure you could just sticker it up if needed. Good find 👍👍

A reasonably priced eBay peli style case .I painted the upper surface of the pick n pluck with several layers of PVA glue and now it’s totally solid .lower layer for strap storage
