SOTC - College Student

Here is a quick look at my current collection/rotation.

From Left to Right: Seiko Turtle Padi, Seiko SKX009K, Orient Kamasu, Tag Heuer Formula 1 (2006), San Martin BB36G.

Not Pictured: Invicta Pro Diver Steel/Black on Nato Strap (8926OB)

I grew up with watches around me, family members who were sort of watch guys but not really, my first watch was a kids quartz dive watch with a rotating bezel. I didn't wear a watch for a while until I started working at a Restaurant in Highschool. I bought an Apple Watch (I know, I know) and then after getting used to wearing a watch decided to get an Invicta Pro Diver based on the price for an automatic, dive style watch. Around this time, I was gifted to Tag Heuer from a family member and began to switch between the Invicta and Tag. Then, in celebration of my first internship, I decided to purchase the Orient Kamasu, after extensive research. From there I got the San Martin, in effort to try something new (besides a diver) and I really like it. The 2 most recent purchases happened on a whim. I was given to opportunity to buy the Seiko Turtle Padi for an incredible deal I couldn't pass up. From there I swore that was it for watches for a while... until I saw an amazing deal for the SKX. I traded a different Invicta Pro Diver I had aquired over the years + some cash on top for the SKX, which I had heard storys about since I got into watches.

I really like the watches I currently have and I am extremely excited to wear/rotate through them everyday. For now, I am taking a pause from buying more, we'll see how that goes...

I like this platform a lot, WatchCrunch is super cool and I just stumbled upon it. Check out my profie for more updates, etc.

Great start to your collection. Nice divers. Hope you enjoy WC.

Kamasu is fire

·

I'm loving your choices.  I have a Kamasu and I'm after an SKX. Clearly you favour dive watches. I'm looking at phoebus and steinhart presently as next purchases for dive watches.

·

Welcome to WC, that's a monster collection for a college student.  You've obviously off to a great (or tragic depending on your point of view) start.  I love that somebody gave you a Tag, that's such a great gift.

·

Welcome to WC and dang good collection if I may so myself.

Welcome to the Crunch 🙏

You've got some cracking dive watches my friend for the time (pun intended) you've been collecting, some really solid choices 💯

·

Thanks for joining us here in WC and I'm glad you enjoy the watch banter. Nice collection and I'm so happy to hear people talk about the joy and excitement they get from their watches.

·

It's the TAG a quartz model? I love quartz but I've tried to find a copy of that one in caliber 5. To no avail.

·

Many have already said, but you have a really solid collection so far and these are all great choices. Love the Turtle and the Formula 1.

Thanks! I saw a decent model on ebay for $450. From Japan.  I might go for it.  I love the styling of the older Tags.

I love the stories you have behind each of the watches. I really hope i can expand my collection while also putting the sentimental values to my watch like you do. Wellcome to WC brother!
