How do you guys bring your watch with you abroad? I'm sure most of us put our precious little trinkets in watch pouch(es). But do you guys get any anxiety leaving them in your luggage where we don't know how they'll get manhandled.. ๐ตโ๐ซ
When I travel I select one appropriate watch and wear it. I find multiple watches are too much hassle to keep track of. Too high a risk of me leaving one in a hotel room while wearing another.
Just remember, airport security they have the right to confisicate any item that is in your luggage due to civil asset forfeiture. It usually applies to cash and precious metals, and extends anything to anything they classify as excessive "jewelry" being transported across borders.
Used to rock a small pelican case for one, plus one on the wrist.
Lately using a two watch soft case with foam cutouts from Prometheus Design Werx. Cool thing about this option is it fits inside a large mouth water bottle/yeti. Since you can't bring liquid in, helps act as a hard case.
Either option fits in 16L backpack easily enough, if using the yeti, fits in the bottle holder of said bag.
Used to bring 2 or 3 on holidays.....I stopped with that habit.....I now only select one that I will wear all the time....itยดs just easier and no worries about the other ones I had to leave behind in the hotel room when I am out.
I try to bring just one watch to the travel. + maybe a G-Shock as a backup. That one I can just throw it in the backpack and know it will be just fine. ๐
Next trip I'm thinking about just bringing one full-metal G-Shock to make it the ultimate traveling watch.
And if you're lucky, it won't get damaged or stolen during the months or years in police custody while you make your case. In some instances, they'll even prosecute.

It depends on how expensive. I own watches that cost less than the pouch I store them in so I got no trouble tossing them into checked luggage. The more expensive ones (about 1000EUR) I would only carry in hand luggage and the really expensive ones (about 10000EUR) stay at home, at most one comes and that's only if it is being worn.
I wear one watch while traveling. Itโs usually overseas and Iโm semi-sketchy areas. A sun $500 Seiko, a beat up Victorinox, or a Tissot I donโt care about. Everything else stays home.

Hand luggage in a watch roll. Iโm not letting an airline lose my checked bag with my precious watches in it.
putting it into checked luggage is just asking for trouble. always keep them with you in carry-on luggage.

2 or 3 in a watch roll in my hand carry and 1 on my wrist.
I just travel with one, on the wrist. Too much anxiety having them in a hotel room, etc.
One on my wrist, anything else in a case in my carry-on.

Why is nobody getting the watches a separate seat, preferably first class?
