Do you change your watch throughout the day?

Many of you have a collection of watches and regularly rotate through that collection, whether your collection is 2 watches or 20. I’m sure we all rotate through our watches. But my question is more about changing watches within a single day. With the benefit of working from home, I sometimes will go into my watch box and pick out another one to wear, just randomly throughout the day. Or…maybe you don’t work from home but you come home after the work day and need to change into a watch to do chores. Whatever your reason - the question is, how many of you change up your watch throughout the day. I’m genuinely curious to know. 😂😂 Note: not my picture, not my hand, not my watches.

I usually pick one watch and stick with it. But if it’s a Friday, I usually switch to my Seiko SSK001 or my Breitling Superocean Heritage after school, regardless of what I’m doing for the evening.

I rarely change during the day. I wear them (9 of them) in rotation, about 8 - 10 days each. I try to wear them all, but give some preference to the ones I like the best.

Same, I work from home a great deal, so I have the opportunity and option of changing things on a whim. I don't want to walk the dog with something super tempting to thieves, so I'll usually use moments like that to switch it up (and may change back to something else upon return). I def have watches I wear with sweaters and hoodies vs. dress shirts and watches I wear out to dinner etc. etc. During the pandemic years all of my dressier pieces have become "kicking around" watches (at least at home) haha.

I usually keep the same watch on all day, and seldom wear the same watch for more than a day or two (with the exception of new watches, which tend to get a lot of initial wear). There are certainly days when I end up swapping watches, possibly even several times in one day. It's based on a combination of my mood and whatever I have planned for the day.

I wear the G-Shock square to the gym every morning, and then change to the watch of the day when I get home. Another change later is very rare, but not out of the question!

It's the 21st century and I live in America . . . you don't have to be crazy, but you have to use common sense, you know? Don't want to get mugged? Don't go jogging with a Daytona in a big city. People are getting violently mugged in their own neighborhoods, outside of their own homes. It happens. Does it happen a lot? Eh, debatable. I'm sure the media blows some of this out of proportion . . .that said my neighbor had a group of teens mug him with guns in his own driveway, so . . . and I live in what is considered a safe/nice area . . . I'd rather just have peace of mind.

Didnt use to do it, even working remotely most of the time, but lately it's been smth of a habit. Maybe because in the last 3 months I got 2 pieces I had been longing for so I make the most of it.

I worked for 46 years and only wore 1 watch a day.

I'm retired now and do what I want.

So yes, I do. Sometimes more than once.

·

I usually wear one watch to work, and then switch to another watch when I get home. That way, all of my watches get more wear time.

·

When I'm out and about, I stick to one watch. Then I get home and wear my smartwatch. It tracks my health metrics and gets me ready for my workout.

·

Totally random. I've stuck with this Citizen since I got it but I have changed three times in one day before now.

·

I normally stick with one watch, and only change it up if there is a particular need, such as dressing up for a dinner, or going for a run through the woods.

·

3 watches/day..

Day: During work - one that matches the clothes at work

Evening watch - expensive one that I would not wear outside or a beater if working around the house.

Night - Apple Watch - expensive alarm on my wrist to wake me up on time to repeat the sequence

Yes, no, sometimes, a lot, not enough, too much, twice already today as I post this.

·

I wish I wore more swatches so I could say I am a swatch switcher

You need another category, “Sometimes depends what I’ve got going”
