Strapalooza 2023 is coming!!!
I've been seeing a couple of people host their own event/game and decided to give it a go!
Most of you don't know me because, well, I'm kinda new here and don't really speak to a lot of people, but, I'd like to introduce myself: Hello, my name is Alberto and I'm a watchaholic, the thing is, I've decided that it's time to give watches a break, I've come to own 10 wonderful pieces over the course of a few years and I'm very happy about my choice.
The thing I'm not happy about is having to wear the same watches for a couple of years so I decided that it would be nice to give straps a chance to win over my heart. They succeeded, I'm up to 8 and 2 on the mail.
So, on the spirit of me getting to know you guys more, make a couple of friends along the way and have some fun at the same time, I've decided to organize #strapalooza2023
The rules and stipulations are simple:
1.- You can't wear the same strap/bracelet/band two days in a row.
2.- Follow the hashtag #strapalooza2023 so that this can get some traction.
3.- If you want to participate in the event/game please comment down below so that I can put your name down and follow your progress.
4.- You must post a wristcheck each day for you to stay in the game. It only counts if you use #strapalooza2023 hashtag.
5.- The event/game will be a month long.
6.- Updates and announcements will be made each Sunday.
7.- Mention where you bought the strap, especially if it's readily available for purchase (Not really mandatory but it's a nice thing to do).
8.- Have fun (Yes, This is mandatory, if you don't, I'll find out, don't mess with me, I'll find you. ❤️)
And that's pretty much it haha, you can wear the same WATCH two days in row, just change the strap.
The game starts September 10th and ends on the 10th of October.
Even if nobody joins I'll still do it and try again next year!

So this is showing off any strap on any watch? So long as you don't wear the same strap 2 days in a row? And can we post on WRUW daily, instead of write an individual post for it, just to hit two birds with one stone?

I'm not sure I can commit to it while I run the scav hunt, as that pretty much takes over my life while it's on 😆 Two games at once is too much for my mind to handle 🫣

As long as you have at least an extra, you'll be just fine! There's no limit to how many times you can use the same strap, as long as it's not 2 days in a row!

Sounds fun but since retiring I find I do not wear a watch everyday. I suppose I could just throw a watch on for a few minutes, take a picture and post it, I have more than enough watches with different straps and bracelets, but that really wouldn't be fair to others with fewer watches and those who wear them at least 8 hours a day. So I will pass on this one.
But it sounds like fun so have some, fun that is.
