Without price in mind, which one would you get and why?

I'd like to spend some money. Sooner than later.

DW56000 for me. I really don’t care for the negative displays.

Can i ask which is easier to see under direct sunlight?

I really don’t know as both of mine are standard display but the reverse is hard for me to read in pictures and in review videos. I can’t imagine it being any better in person.

Negative displays are harder to read under direct light but this is a new technology, called MIP, can't remember what it means but the visibility is supposed to be great!

For me the less cluttered DW5600 would be the pick between the two.

I'm not a high level athlete, so I don't need metrics for everything I do. The extra features and shorter battery life would be a waste for me with the GBD200.

Oh, that's not how the watch actually looks, you can change between different "screens"

But it is how the watch works, because those extra screens are clutter as well.

I don't see the point in buying a watch with features that I will never actually use. It makes the watch more complicated, and more expensive.

DW5600, simplicity in legibility & operation

I get your point now. Well said

I love both but it truly depends for me. The GBD is more of a sporty watch that I wear during workouts or days I wear sneakers and shorts. The OG square is more of a classic, I usually pair it with every day clothes and days I need a beater.

I have 2 GBD-200s and 1 GBX-100 and I can tell you that the MIP makes visibility on these watches miles better than the negative displays used on other 5600s/5610s. They're modern G-Shock designs that make the other squares look like your father's G-Shock. 😄 And the dial isn't busy at all!!

I think I'm getting the black one 👀

My black one is a GBX-100NS-1. Don't use it for the health or notification functions and you'll absolutely love it!

Great watch!!

A drawback to digital is that the display vanishes at angles through polarized sunglasses.

The E-Ink displays are incredibly legible in direct sunlight.

Also the GBX-100.

5600. Gbd is a nice one, but all those 'smart' funcions will drain the battery too soon when used (as happened with my gbx)

·

They're too different. GBD-200 for serious sports activities, when I want to track them.

DW-5600 for adventures and fun, because of all the colour variations. Maybe the Summer Lover Honey limited edition.

Possitive displays are easier to read and I don’t need all the extras the first one has
