Micro Tournament Round 1 Day 1: Zelos Vs. Makina

Zelos has this acrossed the board with a wider selection. The Spearfish with meteorite dial is 🔥. Makina is definitely a nice watch too. They have practically the same Selita movement as the Zelos. They are a great looking watch. They are more dressy than a GADA. Zelos is a good all around use watch.

Zelos is the fan favourite, but their designs leave me cold... Makina, however, seem to be very nice. The Uriel looks comfy and elegant.

Another one I have never heard of. Quick limps on their catalog and I have to go with Zelos in comparison.

Zelos gets my vote here due to the huge selection of different models they have. Not a fan of their FOMO strategies, though....

First time I've looked at the two in depth. Makina's designs are really interesting and definitely stand out from the crowd. Zelos seem to sit well within that crowd. +1 for Makina from me.

Heard about and saw lots of Zelos, never heard of Makina.

Both look great, but for Zelos only dial is really distinguishable feature, while Makina puts more effort into aethtetics overall. Personal opinion, I will not vote here.

No way zelos doesn't sweep this, they have very strong brand recognition, like Christopher Ward on the verge of not being a microbrand anymore.

Personally I don't love Makina's designs, they're a bit out there. Points for being different, but I find them ugly

This is why this tournament is so great. I was about to vote Zelos, because I’ve never heard of Makina before. But I’ve never been a big Zelos fan — their design language is a little too brash for my taste. So I did a quick search and looked over Makina’s catalog, and wouldn’t you know it, I really dig this brand. I know they’re not gonna win this round, but I may have to add one to my collection in the future.

Zelos definitely is a fan favorite and offers superb value for money but they have never won me over on the design front. I’ve never heard of makina. But their designs look great, especially the Uriel. Going with makina

I went the unpopular vote with Makina. I hadn't seen anything from them before and I like where they are going with their designs.The Uriel V is NICE! I love Zelos as well and they will win this round anyway. I would like to see Zelos try to have more available and lasting offerings.

#zelos had a definite leg up in this match. I kind of like some of the #makina watches, but it did a feel a little bit like they were all over the place.
