How do you feel about your wrist size? Is it holding you back from getting your dream watch?

I feel like I could wear most modern watches but if we start going vintage. I can’t do it lol

·

I find I can wear a 26mmx36mm vintage or a 56mm.

Why?

Mostly cuz IDGAF about the opinions of those who don't know me.

·

I am pretty open to anything like 36-43, but those limits aren't so much to do with my wrist size as they are about the watch itself. I just feel like larger or smaller than that becomes kind of a standout aspect of the watch, rather than the size it happens to be. I don't mind my Rangeman or mudmaster, but I feel like they use up the space. I wouldn't buy a regular 3 hander at those sizes.

·

Never occurred to me to question my wrist size. I just buy watches that fit me, and it only took about 4 purchases to nail down those parameters.

Watches that don't fit me are for other people, and I hope they love 'em.

And s far as "watch of my dreams goes" I have far more watches than I ever dreamed I'd have 🤣

The smallest I have is this...

...and the largest is probably this...

I think I still prefer watches like 38 - 44... It's got nothing to do with my wrist size, I just prefer slightly bigger watches n still trying to get used to 37mm n below... Lol 😂 🤣

·

I am me, watches are just objects. If a watch is too big, I wish it were smaller, not my wrist bigger.

·

I don't have a problem with most watches but I do have an 8" wrist so anything under 38mm does start to fall on the too small side. I have a 35mm and one that's 36mm. They look all right but not as good as my 40mm and up

·

It is what it is ! I have a large wrist and wear 40mm and larger. I am ok with that as I don’t like feminine watches.

·

7.25 inch master wrist reporting

·

Call me hater...but if we are endorsing 50mm 55mm G-Shocks I have no issues wearing a 42mm or a 44mm. I personally focus on comfort vs size. That said the fun part of collecting is to own a little bit of everything. I have small dress watches and more smaller sporty watches and still kept some of my giant pieces when it was cool to wear large watches.

·

I had a pretty servicable wrist size, then I lost weight 😭

·

Have stuff that ranges from 32mm, all the way up to 56mm 😂.

I wear what I like, screw "convention". Don't believe me, click here: #custodesspecial (bwahahahaha 😝)

That being said I do prefer 36-41-ish.

Once I realize something is too big, it is no longer a "dream watch" I can always hope they release it smaller later! 🙏🏼🤓🥴 #ittybittywristcommittee

I couldn’t deal with the very small vintage that I collected and took a lot stupid remarks wearing Gruen Curvex which a lot of guys said looked like lady’s bracelets but any timepiece 38mm-48mm are fine, my wrists measure just over 8inches. I have been collecting watches seriously since the late 70s, wore watches before that never noticed any discussions about case sizes until I joined WC last June. A lot of fellas are really uptight about slightly bigger watches, confident persons that I have known never gave size much thought with big or very small timepieces.

Bingo!

·

E. I wish I had bigger but I don’t think about it anymore. 😅

·

Happy with my wrist size, easily wear 36-44mm however I do wish I could pull off a Panerai 372

·

I wear watches that span from 34mm dress vintage pieces to 44mm divers and usually they fit ok even at the two extremes. I would rather say that my personal preference leans towards smaller sizes with a strong preference around 36-38mm. It's more about the classic look against the modern look, I guess

·

With a 16.5 (6.5 inch) wrist I have plenty of choice. I like trying straps and found several that can make a watch more comfortable.

Vintage watches are fine on my wrist, that's a cool bonus.

My arch-enemies are long straight lugs, hate watches trying to plunge off my wrist 😀

I could make an exception for the Bulova Lunar Pilot... definitely have to go to an AD to try it.

I go from 50mm tunas to 34mm omega devilles and enjoy every thing between. Except my Tudor gmt that’s the one watch I couldn’t pull off. Which was a shame I still like that watch

I prefer larger watches personally. My oldest is also my smallest watch, a 38mm Bulova Marine Star 100m

45‐43mm is my sweet spot

Diversity is the spice of life

I think most people can pull off most watches honestly. For the longest time people didn’t even really consider size when purchasing. Most people that aren’t into watches still don’t really consider size. I know before I got deep in this hobby I just bought a watch if I liked it. Some were larger and some were smaller and I didn’t even know the diameter of them until many years later when I decided to actually look it up. Only when I got deep into this hobby did I realize how obsessed the overall watch community is with watch sizes. I have pretty small wrists at 6.25” and can easily wear watches that are 34-44mm. If we keep an open mind, we can adjust to just about anything really. If you’re used to wearing smaller watches it may take a bit of time for your mind to adjust to something larger, but it doesn’t take long. We should try to appreciate every watch for what it is instead of wishing it was larger or smaller.

I have small wrists. I don't like small watches. I wear big watches and I don't care one bit about what someone might think about it.

·

As a female, my wrists aren't crazy small. It's 157mm or about 6.1in. I can wear a 42mm watch as long as the lug to lug is about 48mm or less. My sweet spot is 38-39mm.

I'd hate to be any smaller and am jealous of those men with flat wrists that fill out the watch so much better

As a guy with 6inch wrists, I’m totally with you.
