Yes although the LED light is less evenly distributed compared with EL light, it is actually much more legible in complete darkness. I’m leaning towards the LED light after I got my GW5000U.

My gada will be the G Shock GW-M5610. It is lightweight, perfectly sized, solar powered and with 20 bar water resistant. Aesthetic wise it is super low profile with the red frame that gives the watch a little bit of pop. Overall, I feel safe and satisfied when I’m wearing it.😃
