Great job restoring the glass. And great example, it looks tough and elegant.

Congratulations!

I have a 6.5" wrist and this is my smallest watch, it is a 33mm that was my father's watch.

I was convinced it was too small, left it in the drawer for years, then gave it a try. The first day I thought it was illegible, but I adjusted quickly. Now it is always in the rotation.

My other watches are bigger, but this is one of the most readable in low light.

I measure the crystal at 27-28 mm which looks impractical, but specs sometimes don't match the experience. Domed plexiglass and good use of lume can make the difference.

Before getting into the hobby I neglected my Swatch bracelet for years. Took me 3 sessions to get rid of the gunk, in the last one I used warm water, dish detergent and a toothbrush. Shiny like new, but it's been a lesson I will not forget ๐Ÿ˜…

For my new watches, I check them for signs of dirt, and act accordingly.

Every day I quickly wipe the bezel and glass of the one I'm wearing, using a few drops of 50% rubbing alcohol and water sprayed on a soft microfibre cloth. It works well on fingerprints and small dirt.

You can't go wrong with an Hamilton Khaki Field. Basic field watches are rooted in history, plus they are always legible.

Mine is a 33mm quartz version of 1992, with a plexiglass (that I replaced recently) and a plain jet black dial. A similar model is still sold today, with a different kind of glass. There are countless versions, 36, 38 and bigger, hand wound ("mechanical"), automatic.

What Lunar Pilot do you have? The 45mm brushed steel or the 43.5 polished one? Asking because I have a wrist size close to yours and I see a Lunar Pilot in my future ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿคค
