OCD towards my new watches...

Hi I am Joel and I have OCD...

Everytime I have a new clothes, sneaker or watches (I bought for myself or someone gifted me.) I forbid myself to wear them unless wear them going to church. Now all my new watches are piling up! 😭🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you have that thing too?

Nope.

I can help (I think). I don’t have OCD (diagnosed) but I have my let’s call it weirdness. What if you start #schwarzkopfing (wearing two at a time)?

You could wear them under a sleeve if it’s weird (I mean I know it’s weird but a few of us do it in public sometimes).

I'll try it! Thanks for the tip Sam! I think a lot of people is doing it now!

I made a watch schedule so that all of my watches are worn... some only 1 day a year, others get a whole month

·

Yeah. Go to church more often 🙏🏻

·

Wait a minute. So you only wear new stuff to church? Isn't it "not new" once it's worn once and therefore you can wear it whenever?

That’s the problem. He’s an Atheist. He has to go church for the first time.

·

That's the thing, I never wear them notlr try it! 😅

·

No way. I put on the new watch right away and enjoy it. But everyone has their own thing, as long as you are ok with it .😁

·

The man needs to go to church.

Repent of your Sinns!

Precisely my question?

·

I'd probably burst into flames if I went in a church 🤣

I don't wish to sound confrontational - I really mean that - but do you suffer from some form of OCD, or are you using the term the way so many people sadly do, to describe nothing more than their minor idiosyncrasies? Again, please don't take exception to my question, but as someone who lives with a quite extreme form of OCD, it can be a bit much to stomach sometimes, when people totally misuse the term, especially when the condition can have such a devastating effect on some sufferers' lives.

Yours,

Far more friendly than he may seem.😉

Hi David,

Unfortunately I'm medically diagnosed. No worries. Everyone is open for their opinions

·

stop buying stuff I would say

·

Nah!! I wear the heck out of my watches. Especially new ones 🤣

·

Perhaps consider expanding wearing new clothing / watches to special occasions as well?

It might be a great way to attach more memories to each watch, alongside the joy of wearing a new watch for the first time.

·

Nop on the contrary I I put it right away or it comes out of the A D already placed on my wrist

·

No im the opposite I want to wear my watches as soon as I’ve got them and i say I wouldn’t wear this one for work then wear it for work the next day 🙈i think I might have the opposite to OCD to much order upset me there’s a Hugo boss shop I sometimes go in but every thing is in colour order nothing out of place it makes me nervous and freak out a little bit I just want to miss match a couple things 🙈

I have 7 automatics and no winders so I double-wrist pretty frequently to keep my favorites running!

·

Bluntly no. I have my own form of anxiety (takimg pictures of several angles of my home and my door when i leave) but im a firm believer of a watch not worn is a watch wasted

·

well, problem solved

In that case, it Totally is!

·

Nope, I wear my new watch for about a week straight everyday then go back to a rotation depending on where I’m going or what I’m doing.

Yeah. Go to church more often 🙏🏻

😂😂😂

·

I live by the same principle.

That’s why I still wear a calculator Casio and I have outgrown all my clothes

·

Online church service should square you up amigo ;)

Enjoy your stuff, you deserve it!

·

I think if it is the first wear to the church and become a regular afterward is understandable. With your ocd, what do you wear daily since whatever you are wearing was new once. You should be whatever you are, especially facing the big man, you should wear your Sinn with you as He is carrying your cross along.

·

My goodness that bulova diver and the tissot need to be shown to the world wrist first
