I like to wear NATOs a lot in general. Sure, I have bracelets on watches and, when well sized, they can be very nice. But generally for comfort, it's NATO.
I have a couple NATO straps, and tried several times, and it always comes off the watch after a couple weeks. For me it's bracelet all the way ย I have a couple watches that I bought specifically to put on a NATO, and the original strap (leather or rubber) went back on it very quickly haha.ย
Those are the most comfortable, for sure. My only problem is that the Erika's Original style straps tend to get looser due to wrist movements (the metal buckle slides). NDC is better in this regard, but they don't have much color and width options.

Erika's are too expensive for me. I'm very happy with the MN straps from B&R Bands, Moose Strap Co., Nick Mankey Designs and The Watch Steward.
I actually prefer neither in the summer. I like a silicon or canvas strap if I am going to be outdoors in the summer, or even rubber if I know I am going to be swimming.
I'm team bracelet whenever possible. The traditional NATO is one of my least favorite options, but I do quite enjoy the MN parachute elastic nato-type strap. I have three of my watches on those. If I had to rank order my preferences they would be...
Bracelet
Rubber
Parachute MN-style
Sailcloth
Traditional NATO
Leather
#2 and #3 are really interchangeable for me. It depends on the watch. I wear my Omega Aqua Terra on the OEM rubber and I really couldn't picture me wearing that watch on any other strap. But I don't like a lot of rubber aftermarket options. They aren't nearly as robust as what is on the Omega, which is understandable given the price difference. So, I've become spoiled. On most watches, I'd probably prefer the parachute style MN strap to a rubber strap at the same sub-$30 price point.
Even a good metal bracelet doesn't feel right. I own plenty of Nato straps, but the only ones I use are the leather Nato straps, for my climbing watch. Rubber for me has been so-so. I'll try out the Hirsch Performance this year.
I actually think higher end leather is the most comfortable, especially after it breaks in. I prefer leather or bracelet. NATO would be after that, and last for me, rubber.ย
I've begged Uncle Seiko to make a bracelet for the Citizen Promaster series....all he needs to do is make endlinks really....a Z199 bracelet would be killer.....till then I'm enjoying mine on a 2 piece elastic NATO.

Can never beat a decent NATO in the summertime when the weather is hot cos you can stretch right up and touch the sky (sorry couldn't resist)

I always like a nato on my watch.
That jubilee is awesome ๐
What's that jubilee bracelet?
I have mine on this NATO right now:

Yeah itโs pretty cool ๐ย

Bought it on eBay, the endlinks are from the original bracelet ๐

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think a nato makes a watch more dressy. So I change my bracelets out if I'm going somewhere formal.
Same watch,different straps.

I also have the stock bracelet, but my favorite is always jubilee! Looks great on this watch!
Team NATO here
Bracelet!!!
Just go with the flow bro... Either way is cool ๐๐ป
Rubber it is!
Neither. ย MN straps are the way to go.

I'm not really a fan of bracelets, so I usually go with rubber or some kind of single-pass fabric, either doctored nato or MN.

It's on the Flighty in the photo. They say it's "The real McCoy" of MN srtaps:

Usually a bracelet. NATOs are +/- for me, some comfortable, some not.ย

bracelet all day long, reason because it cant transmit body odor ๐. especially in summer
I'm all about the MN straps, and can't stand bracelets.ย
I wear mostly Erika's, as I find they are comfortable, and stable. The less expensive ones I've tried were too loose/stretchy for my taste.ย
I got a cool seiko on the nato strap it came with, I'm only saving it for warmer weather because it's too cool to be hidden under sleeves
Neither!

I like the elastic nato straps, but they are not very good with a heavy watch if doing sports as they move around too much.
But definitely prefer a braceletย
Depends on my ADD each dayย
