What Mocrobrands do you own

I am a great lover lover of microbrands, as I believe they offer better value for money, better customer service, and are more original, but unfortunately they rarely hold their value. As well as the watches below I also own three Chris Wards, a Steinhart, two Yemas, and a San Martin, but I no longer consider any of these are microbrands. Here are mine, please list yours

I’ve been trying to wean myself off the microbrands - partly due to the (lack of) value retention you mention, but also because it’s easy to make a lot of apparently small purchases that add up to a lot!

Currently own:

Sternglas Naos

Baltic Aquascaphe Dual Crown

Have owned:

Maen Brooklyn

Sternglas Hamburg

Christopher Ward Sealander 36

Autran & Viala Nightflight

Dekla Deckwatch 40mm

Circula Aquasport II

Monta Noble

Tourby Lawless Diver

Trafford Crossroads Mockingbird

I buy all my microbrands used, so the original purchaser can take the financial hit

Even then, I find there can be another hit when you put that used microbrand back on the market!

·

I have, in no particular order

Baltic

Karlskrona

Armida

Dan Henry

Marloe

Phoibos

Neotype

Crepas

Tactico

And a Steeldive but don't think they can be considered a microbrand

·

I like the cut of Mæn's jib - don't own one of their watches though - did think about their Skymaster chronographs.

I own a few Lorier (Hyperion & Gemini), a Serica (4512-TXD) and a Geckota (W02 Military Chronograph).

I mainly buy more established brands 'cause I have a thing for re-issues and history but agree that micros are an interesting, even exciting sector of the market.

Always a difficult one. I can spend £250/£300 on a mint condition microbrand and get a fantastic watch, or the same amount on a Seiko or Tissot and get something very average. To be honest, after the first initial big hit I don't think they depreciate any quicker than mainstream brands

·
Markell

Farer (moonphase)

Marlow (night GM)

I also have a Cristopher Ward Bel Canto and a San Martin GR5 but I don’t think they are micorbrands

I would agree, neither of those brands are really micros anymore

just one at the moment, but I love Microbrands!

Man, your collection is pretty amazing and I see several Islander pieces in there too! I own a Northport but have identified as many as 5-6 others in their line that I want my greedy little hands on.
