I've been collecting watches since 2003. Have a preference for simple and clean looking watches, so dive and dress style are my cup of tea. Recently ventured into Japanese vintage Seiko quartz from the early-mid 70s, which are cheap, interesting and unique! However, I don't have any brand preference and watch collection currently includes ones from AliExpress

In terms of quality, fit and finish, and specifications, I would say the SM is superior to the Seiko SRPD. Personally, I like both but would take the SM if given the choice. Note that the SM appears smaller than the Seiko due to the smaller case
TBH, no I've never tried brushing it as I've never tried modding any of my watches. But I'm happy to give it a go (as a first time modder) as long as I receive some guidance
