Zuanshi vintage Chinese watch w/ Tongji ZSH handwound movement

I recently purchased this watch from AliExpress based on an online YouTube review by the reviewer "Gedmis Laguna". After changing the stock leather strap with a simple but soft leather Eache strap, the watch feels significantly better and more than the cost paid of USD48 including shipping! I especially love the applied "diamond" logo and faceted indices combined with lume pip. Also, the hour/minute/seconds hands reach all the way out to the edge of the dial, which aids in legibility). The boxed acrylic crystal is very clear with minimal distortion when viewed from the side/at an angle.

Having done some further research, it appears that Zuanshi (or Diamond) was one of the top Chinese watch manufacturers during the 70s-80s (their in house SM1A movement was allowed to continue in production instead of being replaced with the Tongji design) prior to the opening up to Western brands. My watch appears to be a NOS model as it also came with a Diamond branded box. However, this watch contains a ZSH 17-jewel movement (and not the much revered SM1A unfortunately)

Congratulations. That's a nice example. It's a more recent build just because of the lume dots, not to mention the length of the hands, but it's terrific, too. Really clean design.
