Traska "Twofer"

I have been following Traska for a couple of years now and decided to "try the brand". Ordered the Summiteer 36mm and then two days later succumbed to "new release fever" and got the Venturer. Very pleased with both! Fit/finish is awesome at this price point and both came VERY well regulated. The green is killer and sold out very quickly... and I can see why.

I do need to get me a green dialled watch, the more I see them, the more I love them

·

The green looks amazing. I wish I had room for the Venturer in my collection, though - I’m trying to tick off boxes, and the “True GMT” category is already filled by my Tudor.

Maybe someday, though… it looks so damn good.

·

They are great watches! No shame in the double down!

I have four: 1. 1986 Rolex GMT Master II 2. Grand Seiko SBGN029 3. Lorier Hyperion and 4. Traska Venturer. The Miyota 9075 is a very nice movement!

I know 🥲 but I think right now I need to just stick with ticking boxes before I start doubling up - I fear if I do that too early, I’ll fall out of love with one a lot quicker than the other.

Easiest way to prevent that is to buy watches that I love for different reasons.

They look amazing! I've been eyeing Traska foe a while!

·

I love my venturer GMT, just wish there was a way to buy the new clasp as the clasp on my version was the only thing I found less than perfect

·

I have 4 Traska’s and just ordered the Bottle Green Venturer GMT other day as well. So 5 total! 😅💸💸. Nothing wrong with having a couple of them. I love using my Traska’s for tough activities as their case and bracelet hardening tech is legit. I wish other mainstream luxury brands would use hardening technology.

They told us in an email that they would make the new clasp available separately in the near future. They listen to their customers. Just email and send your wishes to them and they’ll most likely make it happen

·

Very nice haul my friend.

The new clasp is OK, but not Tudor T-Fit level of function. The pushbutton has a very stiff spring. A bit more bulky than the previous clasp. It works.

·

Love the blue Summiteer

I appreciate the feedback. I may just not worry about it then.

Ugh congrats! I couldn’t get the green before it sold out. The white one is arriving today and I hope it is a nice consolation prize

+3 sec/day average of three positions, all positive. 0.1 to 0.3ms beat error. Are you listening Seiko? The Summiteer was +6sed/day. Traska is doing a great job adjusting these to a high spec.

just arrived, not sure how the heck their photo dept did such a poor job representing the bezel (its super ghosty subtle grey not dark) but its an excellent watch so I'm keeping it hehe

I concur on their photography... The Bottle Green dial looked black on their website. I emailed before the launch and their rep sent me a couple of pics on wrist indoors and out. It made my decision to purchase and what I received looked like the photos emailed. Hope you enjoy your new watch!

thanks! its much more monochromatic than I had expected with the only pop of color from the GMT hand, it could be a true strap monster (if I ever take it off the bracelet lol). How do you find the on-the-fly adjustment mechanism? It works for me, but not sure if it needs a break in period or if I'm utterly spoiled by the Horage version

The on the fly works OK, albeit the pushbutton is too stiff. Don't understand why it has to be so hard to depress. I'm spoiled by my Tudor BB54 so I guess the comparison is unfair but it seems most independents struggle with this. The engineering is not "in house" I would guess. CW makes a nice bracelet, but their on the fly is way too bulky.

🥳As a Traska owner, I think you will continue to be satisfied with your purchase!

Right now Traska leads the GADA race. In a close second place is Second Hour.
