My mistake

Got this limited edition orient watch and liked it, but didnt wear it because I was affraid on damaging it (this was my first nice watch).

After a while I sold it to my brothers friend, but later regreted it.

A year past and I tought I could buy the watch back from him, it still was an idea, but wery next day I heard from my brother that his friend had broken something on the watch and the strap does not hold on and ask if I could fix it.

I got woried when I heard that and told to bring the watch.

Luckily he, somehow, got the pins out from one part of the strap and nothing was broken (at that time he didnt know anithing about watches).

But the watch itself was hevily used, it got scraches and bumps and the bezzle was hardly turning. I was sad and mad. I put new pins, cleaned it and gave it back, not wanting to buy it back.

P.s.

I checked ebay for this watch and the price has gotten way to high like 500 eur. I got it for 270 originaly.

As you can see you played babysitter and took care of the watch and kept it mint/new condition for the other person. Always wear and enjoy your watches.

·

Sellers remorse is a common thing, as is inflation sadly.

·

It's still available for 300€ on French Amazon. Maybe look around other European countries, you might be able to get it delivered new for not much more than you paid back then.

Scratches mean that you are enjoying your watch,, the way it's supposed to be

beautiful wear, this kamasu has many stories to tell.

Live and learn.

Although pristine is impressive, I prefer the aura of the battle-hardened.

Brother that's was a gorgeous watch! That was big and kind of you to clean it up ... Unfortunately, Ya Gotta Cowboy UP ... Power Forward and let it go.

Stay Thirsty My Man 🍻👊🏽

·

There is a certain irony in your apprehension to wear it and this person wearing it recklessly. That’s tough - you are a class act for working on it anyways

·

Tough break and a good lesson. We all have them. When you buy the next one you’ll enjoy it even more, having had that experience.

·

Always think twice before selling a watch...or giving one away.

Fortunately, I have never sold a watch and do not regret any that I have gifted.

Measure twice...cut once

·

It's 264€ on Amazon Spain (sold by Amazon). I would suggest to see if you can get it again from there, or another country store. That model is not that expensive. Hope you enjoy it once again!

This is why 90% of the watches I buy are used. Less money, already pre-dinged, and past the point of QC fails out of the factory. Here's a similar JDM version for $160 usd. https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/orient-mako-3-red-dial-made-in-japan-model-mint.5551491/ Set up an alert on watchrecon.com for your exact model- I see them on there from time to time at decent prices.

·

And I've got this exact watch here and still wearing it! 😉

We all take an L. The good thing there's tons of microbrands and watches at all budgets so I'm sure you will get better watch.

Full of memories

Generally speaking, my most expensive watches also have the most wear and tear because they get worn the most. Why spend money on a watch to not wear it and enjoy it? While we all care more about watches than the average person, at the end of the day it’s just a watch, and 99.9% of watches were made to be worn. Wear it and enjoy it.

·

That's why you NEVER sell a watch. Build your collection.

·

I own the gradient grey dial version, but I have to admit this red limited edition version is probably the best looking of the batch.

·

Treat your watches like your shoes. The scuffs don’t matter unless they’re amazing shoes. Then wear them for special occasions and don’t step in sh!t!

·

Don't wear it while riding your motorcycle.
