Think one have to go

Hi guys

I have these to lovely Grand Seiko quartz, the 37mm SBGX261 from 2022 and the 40mm 44GS double logo SBGV007 from 2014.

The problem is, they are fighting for the same wrist time. So should probably sell one of them.

Really wish I could merge them, so I have a 37mm 44GS watch instead. Love the everyday feel of the SBGX261, bud the SBGV007 is just more eye-catching.

I usually use these as my everyday watch, so I think it would most sense to keep the SBGX261, but the SBGV007 is more special (i think).

What do you guys think? And what would you do in this case?

I have full set on both of them.

I prefer the 44gs case and I think the dial looks more balanced so I would keep that one. Try wearing them both for a week and see which one you take off first.

·

My personal preference would be for the smaller size.. but the 44GS is sweet. I would imagine you'd have regrets after selling it.

Couldn't you just keep them both with the quartz as your daily, and the 44 as "Something for the weekend sir" 😉

Keep the double logo, it would be more rare with time 🇯🇵

Nice 👍

I’d keep the 37mm for this style of watch. Also, the double logo is weird to someone like me who isn’t well versed in GS/Seiko watches.

That's a dilemma... I like both, but as you said, I think the 44GS is more special, and with time, the double logo will hold more historical value.

I would try to keep both, but if you do not feel comfortable having the two, I would keep the 44GS and maybe use the money from the other to get another 37 mm model with more different design, color, etc.

Keep the 44GS, that case is just exquisite 😍👌

I like the size and just that bit more simplicity of the X261

Agreed :)

One idea: once you decide on one of them going, give this one watch a full month without wearing it. After this time, look back in your decision and if it still feels right, sell the watch.

The 37mm would be my choice.

Tough call.

SBGX is smaller with a none-polished bracelet. Perfect for everyday tool watch.

SBGV007 has some polishing on the bracelet. It's bigger, more bling bling. Perfect for a dressy environment.

Keep both? 😎

It’s the SBGX for me, but there are no wrong decisions here.

I Sold my 44gs felt too big for what it was, replaced it with 37mm 🙄🤣I'm in the market for smaller 44gs love the case amazing,so I'd do what feels right my friend,I had similar dilemma that's what I did.

I like the look of the one in the second photo more. I’m guessing that’s the double logo 44gs? That’s my vote.

·

44GS for me, great case, double logo and looks good on you 👍

·

Ohh... You guys didn't make this any easier. But maybe you made me realise I'm not crazy for wanting them both in my collection 😅

·

Is the 44GS also quartz? Difficult choice. I find both equally stunning on they own but similar way. I can't help you, mate. I'm sorry

Both quartz, bought the SBGX261 first, loved it (still do). But I allways wanted a 44GS, and then I then a couple of months later I saw the SBGV007 at a fair price nearby, so had to buy it 😅

Put one away and revisit it later perhaps.

Keep the most special #grandseiko to you

Very nice

Don't sell either. I have regretted selling every gun I ever sold. Don't intend to do the same with watches.
