Keep or sell the Tudor?

I am constantly finding myself comparing the Ranger with my Explorer, but cannot make up my mind if I want to sell the Ranger or not? They are very similar but yet different in many ways...

Keep the Ranger

I have a suggestion! Send the Tudor to me and I'll keep it until you've made up your mind. This way I could find out whether I like it enough to buy one 😅

·

I’d say change the steel Explorer and get the steel/gold version to make it different from the ranger!

Let me think about it! 😂

Good suggestion, but the Explorer has been my grail watch ever since I started collecting...

·

Keep both.

The two watches are different. You can use them on different occasions.

Yeah, don't sell the steel explorer 🙏

·

Both are amazing watches! That said, I'd keep the Explorer because the dial is a bit more refined AND both are similar field watches. God, I hate typing this! Bottom line is that you can use the Raner cash for another watch 😎

Good to have it then! If you don’t strictly abide to the one in/one out rule, keep them both until the next spark. ⚡️

Great comment, this is exactly what I have in mind - to add funds for the next one 😅

Sell it

·

What I normally do is pack up the watch I’m thinking about letting go and stick it under the bed for 3 months. If I’m not missing it during that time away it goes otherwise I’ll hold on to it.

·

I am facing the exact same question. I have both and was wondering about flipping the ranger, but every time i take it out i fall in love with it all over again. Just slap a diffrent strap on it and it looks like a completely diffrent watch again its so dang versatile.

·

Sold my Ranger. Kind of regret it. Keep both if you can.

I might try this!

I 100% agree, and for the rafting it would be a 90$ g-shock 😂

Am a fan of both Rolex and Tudor. If you enjoy both… keep ‘em. If one has to go… lose the Tudor

The Tudor is zero sum the Rolex is ATM worth more than new , the smart money is to sell the Explorer, the world economy is spiraling down the shitter if you’re watching what’s going on in the world right now , the US dollar is being fraudulently propped up and it cannot sustain this forever in my personal view . Watches will be the least of peoples problems in the future.

I would sell the ranger. I’m personally not a fan of it but if you were to have a watch of that style. Sure. But since you already own an explorer, I would say it’s fine to let it go. But ultimately it’s how you feel about it.

Do you own one ? Just curious?

I do not. I was actually going to buy one. But when I got hands on with it at the Tudor boutique, it just didn’t resonate with me. In pictures it looks fine, but when I held it and wore it, I just didn’t feel that I should purchase it. Kinda funny how the human mind works sometimes. Because I thought for sure I was going to buy it. But it was just not meant to be.

Fair enough you had it in hand so you know how you feel about it . 🙂 Thanks for your reply.

Yup! No worries!. This was when I had hands on with it for the first time. The T-Fit clasp is nice though.

Now you can sell it.

I am huge fan of the Ranger over the Explorer mostly because if it's simplicity and under the radar appeal. Don't get me wrong I love the Explorer but, there is something about the history that stays with me on the Ranger even over the Explorer. I would find it hard to part with that one. Just my opinion. Good luck with your decision it would be difficult.

Explorer is better.

·

I have both. Ranger for daily use & Explorer for my weekends. Keep them both.

Keep the Tudor, sell the Ranger.

My reasoning is that they are so similar in style and of similar quality you may as well sell the more valuable one and use the money for something else.

I also prefer the look of the Ranger.

·

Imo, unless you are a huge Tudor fan, the Ranger—at least looks-wise… ain’t worth that price tag. But they do look like distinct watches in terms of style.

·

Sell the tudor, it is an expensive piece that you will anyway bee carefull as much as the rolex and they have similar style

IMO sell it and buy a Bb58

·

Or…or…sell the Rolex AND the Tudor but keep the Casio 😁

Seriously tho, if it were me, I’d keep both. The Explorer - which I have - for the work week where the dress code is business casual and for more dressy wear. And the Ranger - which I’ve only tried at an AD - for weekends and casual wear.

Oh yeah, keep the Casio for occasions neither the Rolex or Tudor fit and it’s a solid three watch collection!
