Thinking about the next addition to my collection - Lorier Astra
Hi folks,
since I watched a video from Max I cannot get his watch out of my head. What's your thought on this model or Lorier in general?
Currently my two most worn watches are my BB58 as well as my CW C63 GMT - so I think it would be a nice addition. How is the built quality compared to these two, especially to CW? Does anyone know when this watch is available for purchase?

I reached out to Lorier about this watch. They have had a lot of delays due to what sounds like QC issues. They said so far their timeline estimates have been wrong so they aren’t speculating a timeline at this point. You can sign up for their newsletter so you can be notified when they have an update. I respect them doing their due diligence to make sure the watch is not haphazardly done.
Lorier occupies the niche of affordable vintage styled watches. I own their Safari and I'm very pleased with it.
However bear in mind that with vintage style also come vintage material, so if you are bothered by acrylic (you shouldn't) then they may not be the best choice for you.

Maybe now is a better time or buy a Falcon. I placed my order last Thursday and FedEx is supposed to deliver it tomorrow

They care and want to release a quality product. Plus the owenrs are the ones that show up at the watch meet and fairs. Lots of transparency from this group. Silver on silver is a win.

It's funny because yesterday I saw that watch and really felt attracted to it! I think it looks amazing very vintage but with a touch of robustness I really like it alot! Lorier is definitely a brand worth mentioning and probably my first choice if I ever decide to buy from microbrands!

Loved Lorier since I got my Falcon. Really comfortable on the bracelet, great as a daily, goes with everything. It a quality piece.
Spot on! I like vintage design with modern materials. We don't need to turn back the clock on everything.

I am struggling with this one too. I ADORE the vintage look of this piece. For me, it's the best watch release of 2023 - the lug to lug of 46 mm is good but the size of 36 mm is too small for my 7 and 3/4 inch wrist. I have nothing against smaller watches but anything smaller than 38 mm looks too small on my wrist! Good luck
