Crunchers Assemble!

Hey Crunchers! I need your brains!

I've got one slot left in my 'Main 12' that I can fill this year. I've an idea what will go here but I'd love to hear what you all think would slot here to compliment the current collection. You can see the vibe I'm going for and the general budget per watch I'm comfortable with.

I really appreciate the varied opinions here and welcome all suggestions!

Thanks gang!

Something that isn’t white, black, or blue, or a sports watch. Perhaps a German or independent?

dress watch - jlc qp would round this out nicely

·

That is a collection full of classics. Some people will suggest a wildcard or something a bit left field, but I’d stick to your guns. Maybe a Datejust or GMT II? Or even a classic Sub (even tho I find them to be extremely boring).

·

Wow... you have an awesome 11.... maybe something colorful? Like an orange Doxa diver! (I already admit I love orange...)

Black Sub No Date is close to the top of the list.

Fears Brunswick Aurora or Salmon

Black Sub No Date is close to the top of the list.

The no date is what I’d have as well if I ever get a Sub. But to be honest my black SMP just killed any desire for it. I guess your SMP is blue so they can sit side by side without overlapping.

Same. Having an SMP is the reason I haven't felt the hard pull to own a Sub. It's a classic though but I can't own ALL the classics! Ha!

Wow that is a proper collection, chapeau 👌

There are many many watches you could add, but I think a dress watch would fit rather well.

How about a GS „Omiwatari“ SBGY007?

A vintage gold Pie Pan or C-Shape Constellation would also complement your other watches quite well.

You also seem to be into chronos so a Tag Carrera Glassbox or a vintage Carrera wouldn’t look out of place in there.

Last one I‘m going to mention is if you decide to go completely the other way and purchase a tool watch, then I‘d go for a Pelagos FXD 😏

Really looking forward to see how you‘ll end up filling up that spot. Whatever you get, that last timepiece will be in good company and will feel at home in your box.

Thanks for the great suggestions! The black Carrera Glassbox is deffo deffo on the shortlist actually!

Don’t think you favour moonphases so I am going to recommend a black ceramic watch or a Speedy moonphase with a blue dial. Have you looked at Breitling black ceramic AVI GMT watch? Big 46mm if you like adult size timepieces.

A titanium or carbon GShock square

Funny you say 'black ceramic' as the current #1 contender is the IWC Pilots Chronograph black ceramic. You're reading my mind!

·

Iwc ingenieur or GP laureato

·

First off, amazing collection. I'd get something that is 100% dress. Not something that can pass as a dress watch but a true dress watch. Precious metal and time only. Maybe Patek Philippe or something close to that level.

·

That’s a great collection!

·

Puros clásicos la verdad, bien de ser así un Deus, ga 2100, un endurance...

·

Although you may not realize it (yet), you need this in your collection bro.

It just make sense.

Either a dress or flieger. Too many sport watches even the Cartier is the Santos.

·

Glashutte Original moonphase watch I guess..

·

Something to dress down that looks a bit different:

5 digit Rolex Coke? Or a green dial JLC Reverso?

·

As much as I like weird, I would also suggest picking a Rolex. Could be anyone you like! Maybe a fun OP or GMT master to add some color. If have Day-Date money, that could be very cool as well!

If you’d like to avoid the world famous crown. Maybe a Frédérique Constant Perpetual Calendar?

·

Something from JLC (Polaris?) or Tag Heuer (Carrera?).

·

G-shock, Reverso, vintage dress en or (ex: IWC cal. 89), ou encore un calendrier complet.

·

Get a Rolex from the AD and it might be empty for most of the year. On another note, you have an excellent watch collection.

·

What a great collection! What about something a little dressy? JLC ultra thin or master control?

·

Great collection by the way. What about a neo-vintage 2-line no-date Submariner? 14060 maybe a Swiss only dial? Or a Panerai Luminor Sub for something a bit different?

·

Wow! Really nice collection. #12 I'd top it off with a moonphase Blancpain, JLC maybe FC.

·

GO SeaQ is close eneough and still a bit of a wildcard (kinda like the GS)
