Did not realize this community’s nerdery extended to pasta.
Let me put in my strong recommendation for Cascatelli, a newly invented pasta now available at Trader Joe’s. It’s fabulous!
Here‘s the story on how how it was invented in excruciating detail by its inventor, Dan Pashman, who has a foodie podcast called the Sporkful.
Instructions unclear — bought watch and declared nuclear ☢️ war on China...
As a Poli Sci major as an undergrad during the last century who spent a large part of it studying game theory and nuclear deterrence 🤓, never in a hundred years would I have expected to read a post on the subject on a watch forum.
What are folks using the watch winder for?
Is there an actual need for watch winders given that the industry has switched over to synthetic lubricants?
I guess I can see a use for them if you have a couple of watches that you switch between in a weekly rotation and want to keep them fully wound but from a long-term storage standpoint for infrequently worn watches, I don’t see much of a point of it and feels like it would cause unnecessary wear on the movement.
