I like the look of the Republic - it has some nice design details that set it apart from the current crop of GMTs (like the 24hr chapter ring and the airplane shaped GMT hand). In fact, I much prefer it over the design of the new Zelos Spearfish GMT...

Big fan of my Doxa 300T Professional

I've been into watches since I received my first one (also a mechanical Timex) as a gift back in the dream time (over 50 years ago). Since then, I've had many watches but it wasn't until I bought my first Omega (Speedmaster Professional) that I was bit by the collecting bug - hard. Now I've got a very nice collection that I enjoy very much.

Peter - thanks for the review. I just bought my first Tag (also a Monaco, but with the Calibre 11 matte blue dial - trying to stay as close to the 1969 style as possible). I wholeheartedly agree that you should buy what you like and what you'll wear. I'm looking forward to getting it on my wrist...

My first grail piece was an Omega Speedmaster. Unfortunately, what I've found is that there's always another "must have" watch on the horizon (grail or otherwise). It almost feels like an addiction...

BTW - my next grail piece is a 2018 Heuer Monaco Gulf Edition...

I went for Americana, Lone Star and Candy Corn (but I'd prefer an Orange GMT hand for the Candy Corn if possible).

I recently purchased a pre-owned Trainmaster Worldtime and thoroughly enjoy it. It's beautiful and I get a lot of positive comments about it.
