Only one watch I’d pick - my Vertex M100.
This thing absolutely rocks. Very well built, one of the most legible dials available and with one of the best lume on a dial you can get. Moulded from solid blocks of Super-Luminova. Plus is a strap monster… 👊
There’s no right or wrong here. At the end of the day, it’s your choice. The summer version makes the watch look a little different, and if you want a conversation starter, maybe that enough to choose that option.
I do wish though, Omega would change the bracelet. Way too much going on for my taste. I hardy wear my SMP on the bracelet any more (I have the white dial), they all look amazing on a rubber or NATO straps.

The new gold Metric is so damn nice. Am hankering for one of those at the moment. I only hear good things about them.
I have both and love them equally. For me, the SMP gets more wrist time. Especially when I can travel with it and splash about in the water and it’s able to take a bit of a beating. The Speedy is for sure iconic, but I need to be more concsious when I wear it. It’s a delicate instrument.
Agree the SMP Bracelet is a beast. Go do the rubber and get a decent after market one (mesh or bracelet).
