Opinions on Brew Metric - Retro Dial?

Hello Crunchers,

I am planning to buy the Brew Metric Retro Dial. I saw they will soon restocking it.

I wanted to ask you if any of you have the Brew Metric (also different dial) and how is it for you? Is it worthy? Do you love it?

And in addition how is the company? I was reading few bad reviews regarding the service/assistance.

If you can share your experience would be great!

Thank you for sharing your opinions!

Almost bought the steel dial. It’s still on my wish list post I think. At the last second I noticed those corners around the dial were a mirror finish. Too shiny for me.

·

I like the Retro Dial best, compare to any other dial. This watch

Is unique in my opinion.

·

Have the retro dial and Jonathan is a great person to know and work with. He’s always been considerate to me and I’ve never had a mechanical issue with it or the 8-bit I own.

·

Been hoping for their fitted leather to release sometime soon

Do you work with Jonathan? Cool😃So your job should be watch related!

Moreover your profile pic is from the brand that is next on my wish list 😁

No I don’t I just like talking with microbrand owners online before I make a purchase and he was accommodating and very cordial

I bought the brew 8 bit and it is amazing. I haven't had to deal with customer service issues with brew (everything has been fine since purchase. One of my favorites and very comfortable to wear.

·

I have it. It fits well. I have the blue dial.

It's a great "pick up and go watch". I've had it a little under a year and have no complaints.

Thank you for the information and cool approach!

·

I really like the colour combo on it. There's something about turquoise and that pastel yellow that just looks phenomenal.

·

I bought this for my fiance about a year ago. The watch is excellent and incredibly cool! It works on my 7 1/2 inch wrist and her 6 1/4 inch wrist. You should definitely buy it. The cool factor is off the charts!

·

I have this watch, and they also do sell a leather strap on their website that fits beautifully. I love this watch. It is always a conversation piece and I’ve gotten tons and tons of compliments. It’s a stunner!

Is the date window not in the center between 4 and 5? Or is it just the angle of the photos?

I never really took note of the date window position. Here's another photo from a better angle.

Thank you for the picture! It does look a little off-center to me. Not sure if everyone is seeing this or is it just me?

I have the steel white dial one, and I’d say it carries quite a bit of hype extra. The design is very cool, sits comfortably on the wrist, and goes well with anything and anywhere. But, there are quite obvious quality compromises, and for me it’s the bracelet. It feels cheap and creates kind of a repeating disappointment: I look at the watch, “oh I should wear the Brew today!”, then I put it on and it’s like oh that’s right, well maybe tomorrow…

·

Do it. I bought both the retro dial and the stainless steel one. Both are great. Just sold the steel one today. But the retro dial is fire! Worth it!

I'm afraid I must agree. I had the Metric Retro. Loved the design and dial but seldom wore it because it felt "cheap" - mostly down to the bracelet which felt a bit Seiko 5. Also the gaps where the integrated bracelet meets the case are far bigger than you see in most pictures.

I just got mine today. For me it did not disappoint. The looks of it I just think they got it right and is to me better than pictures. It wears incredible on my 6 1/2 wrist and for me very comfortable and I think the bracelet is well done and cool though I usually don't like them much. I do think I would like to get a teal blue strap to switch back and forth with. So I don't make anything saying that I am a big fan of the watch but I definitely am. If you think that you would really love it then I would go for it. If you're on the fence then probably move on. Too many other watches to choose from to not get what you really love.

·

Wise words! Thank you for sharing your experience!

·

Can anyone tell me how much weight this watch on the bracelet has?

I disagree. The Brew Metric retio bracelet feels good and solid. No rattle of flex. Gives a nice integrated look and minimal hair pull.
