Got my first watch at around age 10 and was obsessed, but it took another decade (give or take) before I started up a small collection.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Timex Ironman.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Hmm... I have a Casio AE1000W that is one I wear when I travel and has been across the country with me so far in my travels.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Collect what you like or love and don't feel bad if your collection is a bunch of watches that are cheap. If they bring you joy, then you've got a good collection.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
A lot of micro brands as of late.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Draken Tugela. I just really like the way it looks. It's has a rugged, yet slightly refined quality to it. If Indiana Jones were to have a modern day watch in and outside the classroom, I'd assume it would be this one.
