Watches under microscope vol. 17 Casio F91
Welcome to the next sequel of the watch under the microscope.
Today we're taking a look at the legend among affordable watches, the Casio F91.
This watch has been in production unchanged for over 30 years.
With digital watches, there's not so much to photograph under the microscope. The print detail doesn't look bad. The numerals on the display on this gold variant have a clearly visible shadow, making it look like they are hovering over the display.
However, when viewed up close, small dots are visible in large numbers - I can't tell if this is dust or some other defect. Either way, to the eye, the display is clean.
As always, please excuse the quality of the photos. Everything is taken with a baby microscope, which also needs a lot of light, so the shots show what is hidden not only to the eye, but also to the macro lens of the camera.
