Welcome to the tenth part of The Watch Under the Microscope.

Today we're taking a look at a piece that will probably soon celebrate (or has already celebrated) 50 years. The uncertainty is in place, as a cloud of mystery shrouds this model. So what does a cheap Swiss watch look like after about 50 years? Of course, I absolutely don't know the service history of this model, but I was surprised that even looking closely, the watch doesn't look bad at all - at least as far as the hands are concerned. The application of the luminescent layer on the indices and the printing on the dial itself have their flaws. After 50 years, the lume is of course completely non-functional. I've included a detail of the fake screw on the bezel, this of course remembers better times.

I bought this watch some time ago and love wearing it, it has incredible charisma and still looks fantastic after all these years - plus it goes quite accurately, about 7 seconds to the plus.

As always, please excuse the quality of the photos, which were taken with a baby microscope, which also needs a lot of light to work, so it can show what is hidden not only to the eye, but also to the macro lens of the camera.

I love this, all except for the super-dodgy fake screws on the bezel. The typeface for the brand name (ITC Avant Garde Gothic or similar, I think) really anchors the aesthetic in the '70s.

Impressive. Especially for its age
