Watches under microscope vol. 3 Seiko SARX035

Welcome to the third sequel of the watch under the microscope. Again, I would like to remind you that this is a children's toy, so the quality is limited and it also needs a lot of light to function. This allows you to see what is hidden even by the macro lens. No need to talk about the eye. Today we're going to take a closer look at the Seiko SARX035.

Second hand with some dust on it

Hour and minute hand are half satinized and half polished. Unfortunately dust particles are visible also with naked eye.

Date window, print is ok

Dial printing is fine, however there are plenty of dust particles everywhere. Thanks to the very shallow depth of field, these are not particles on the crystal.

Indices and seconds hand. It's mindblowing how they are able to produce those small ridges. Also note small grooves in the chapter ring. They are not visible in normal conditions - really nice.

3D Seiko logo, satin finished, really well made

Another shot of minute hand and index. Last photo also shows a beautiful brown sunburst which is apparent only in strong ligt.

So, this watch is nicely done, some parts really shows Seiko effort (logo, indices, outstanding dial, best clear AR around). However there is dust everywhere and there are even two small imperfections on the bottom of the crystal. It's pitty that Seiko QC is far from optimal. But stay tuned. Seiko can do much, much worse ;-)
