Watches under microscope vol. 13 Wise Adamascus AD8

Welcome to the next sequel of the photo series of watches under the microscope.

Today we're taking a look at a microbrand originally from Thailand - the Wise Adamascus AD8 in black, referred to as the AD810A. As this is a lesser known (unfairly) brand, here are a few details in brief. The watch is made of 904l series steel and the case is fully polished. The bezel is ceramic, and the textured dial is covered by a domed sapphire crystal with colorless anti-reflective coating. Thanks to the use of the Miyota 9015 movement, the case can be very thin, and so this 200m diver watch boasts a height of just 11.5mm. Aside from the overall excellent workmanship, it has the best lume I've ever seen. Even the benchmark Citizen BN0151 pales next to the Wise with envy.

Well, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. The indices look awesome, not as surgically clean as the San Martin, but they are of a great standard. The application of strong lume is excellent. The shape of the indices is also interesting, they form little "houses" and can create interesting effects in the light. I have to highlight the hands, which are practically flawless at the microscopic level, everything is in the best order here. The printing on the dial is also excellent. I didn't notice any dust on the dial, which is another indicator of great workmanship. It is for completeness I will add that watches with domed glass are many times harder to photograph than pieces with flat glass due to glare. Quite simply, this watch is absolutely superbly crafted in all respects and is a beautiful example that microbrands can offer much better watches and craftsmanship than the big brands that often just rely on a well-known name. As always, please excuse the quality of the photos, which were taken with a child's microscope, which also needs a lot of light to function, so it can show what is hidden not only to the eye, but also to the macro lens of the camera.

Some very nice shots , great detail, just checked their website some very nice watches at a good price

Super clean tip of the hour hand (photo 16/30). 👌

·

One of my favorite micro bands. Especially due to their own design ideas.

I loved everything about this watch, but returned it for one reason. In my opinion an all polished dive watch makes no sense. As somebody who docent "love" getting my watches scratched up I prefer to not have to baby my all polished tool watch bc it shows scratches more easily than brushed services

Interesting point. I hadn't considered that but I'm of the same mind. Even though 904L, it will still not age well.

It's a good looking watch and on top of it this looks very clean. Nice one!
