Why do I love huge stupid looking divers?

I apparently have a thing for chunky weird divers... And I don't know why!! But I know that I don't have the confidence or tolerance for heavy uncomfortable watches to pull any of them of.

Here are some of the watches that tickles me in the sexiest of ways:

Why?! Why must I lust after these monsters? I did own the MM Tuna aswell as the first Arnie remake. I could handle the Arnie actually, but not the Marine Master as it was just too big and heavy. What's wrong with me...

Top men are looking into the cause of this affliction as we speak. Pray for a cure.

Get a wrist monster in titanium. You get the look without the weight!

·

That’s not Ralph Lauren, but why does it look like a portrait of Ralph Lauren?

I like chunky watches, but my skeletal wrist can't handle it. Makes me feel so sad, since I want to have a rainforest frogman.

The conch belt? Also, Gianni Agnelli claimed to have some metal allergy that led to him wearing his watch on the wrong side of the cuff, but what explains the odd sunglass temple thing?

Take that ! A Seiko Map Meter!

Quick and easy to answer to your query:

Because divers are awesome, and because you’re awesome 😎 🤘

I don't like big divers. But I fully appreciate how appealing they can be - vive la difference!

I'm so contrary - I don't like big divers but this oddly appeals. I can't see how I'd ever wear it, but wow!

For some applications there's only so much you can shrink down size and still be legible.

Would I love an ABC Protrek with compass bezel that wasn't 45mm+? Yes, but haven't found one yet that has the same readability, info, and features in the smaller size.

Plus sometimes it's just fun to be ostentatiously obnoxiously ginormous...🤪🤘🏻🤙🏻

I thought that was Andrew Dice Clay for a second.

But, but... But my plan? This would send me spiraling out of control!!! Also a Doxa would do the trick 😳

Dude that is none other than the famous Gianni Agnelli !

It's getting harder and harder to resist getting an aqualand.

I thought I didn't like big thick watches until I got my Aragon Divemaster 42. At 42mm, it is Aragon's smallest watch. But if all big thick watches looked like this, I would like them all. Then I got a Seiko Chronograph SE-SSB089 which is 45mm. But Seiko is the master of making large dial watches fit, and both of these look great on my 7 inch wrist. But both are such good looking watches, I don't even care about the size.

I have the inverse problem. There are so many beautiful dress watches that I would love to own … but dress watches make zero sense on me. They don’t fit my personality (or general lack of fashion sense) even a little. Like lipstick on a pig.

Own them anyway. I have several dress watches and I wear them to the Sunday Mass or to a weekend dinner with my daughters and sons-in-law. You don't necessarily need a Coronation or an Ambassador's Reception.

Life sucks and then we die... No, just kidding I enjoy these watches even though I don't plan on owning or wearing any of them. I just don't know why?

"Life sucks and then we die" . . . no we won't. I just discovered this life (sorry) hack. All you need is any Seiko watch with a 7s26 movement that says "Seiko Time Corp" on the rotor. Take it off your wrist and let it run down, which usually won't take long, and then Time will stop.

But why ?

He ingrained the image of a superhero having a massive round piece of metal on his wrist! 😉

I like the looks of those, but they might be too small as a diver. Might look like a boys watch on me. 38,5 seems to be the lower end when it comes to divers for me?

But I'm not looking to get any more watches besides the grey version of this The backup watch for my one watch plan (BB36).

However... A Doxa Sub300 seems to be the one if I can't stick with the plan 🥰

Sharp sharp sharp and that bracelet you have on it really sets it off.

Just when I think I've seen every Seiko ever made (obviously exaggerating), along come about 50 more. And this is a Seiko 5, no less.

But one person's dope can be another person's sh*t. Who knows which crazy watches we'll like?

·

Exactly!! That's the best part about this hobby haha

Those are very cool.

Do you also have one of those citizen drivers? They look awesome in person.

I met another dad at the Waterpark once and struck up conversation because he had a AquaLand.. looked awesome. But no, never tried one 😊
