$400 for an essentially plastic watch with a disposable movement I can get up pretty well-spect micro brand watch for around the same money I rather buy zelos then pretend to have a 55 fathoms
There are only five stores outlined by Swatch as salespoints for Blancpain X Swatch for my country and the nearest two of them are 200 km and 270 km away. I have friends in both cities and could have easily slept over to be in time. Well, I didn't. It is not the bioceramic which is holding me back, I like the designs and I am am pretty sure that these watches together with the MoonSwatches will become important pieces of horological history. But I have deep distrust into the noise contamination of Swatches and into Sistem51.
Well that was a mad few hours, but I have one to add to my collection. Love or hate the concept I have a space in my watch box and think it will look pretty nice in there. Also met some really great watch folk in the queue, which made the experience worthwhile.

Well done 😍 This would have been my first choice too.

Looks nice and def a unique piece! Congrats on the new watch and thanks for giving us the live updates
I'm down sizing from mid to high end pieces and at least a dozen gotta go so a plastic watch is out of the question, my last plastic watch was over twenty years ago a Casio maybe and I believe it's plastic and rubber.

Not me.
Tempted but "Ocean Breath"????
I think I can wait a couple of weeks/ months for the hubbub to die down, I haven't decided if I want one yet. Plenty of time.
For what it’s worth I’m going to go and have a look I think. Maybe.
Slugs... What's the deal with slugs?
Slugs... What's the deal with slugs?
No sure, but they make for a colourful decoration.
No sir
I live about an hour east of NYC. I'll get up at 3:00am, go to the bathroom, then go back to bed.
Slugs... What's the deal with slugs?
They wanted to do coral but ocean acidity means they're all bleached or dead. Sea slugs were the most colorful thing left.
I'm over 200 miles from the nearest Swatch store so I won't be there.
Now if it was just down the street....................................I still wouldn't be there.
Im busy snapping up other deals while every one is buying into the hype,
It's not everyone's cup of tea i know but for the asking price of a swatch blancpain mcdonalds mash up, I got a bargain on a gshock MR-G

That’s the beauty of these watches we love, there’s something for everyone.

It represents the essence of how long you wait in line for one 🙄🤣
No sir
You tell em specktators don't cue they observe people cueing 👌🤣
Nope, I don’t do queues.

I’ll be sleeping while all this madness is going on.
I’m gonna sleep right through the release💤
I'm sleeping in front of the store as I type this. I'm at the Times Square store New York in a tent.
I just walked by the SF Swatch store; there was a line of about 5 people at 8 pm.
Not a great photo of the watches, since it’s dark:
Sorry, it won’t be me. Too close another nonsense watch imo. Snoopy on the back of an Omega. Yuck!
So I went for it and I can see straight away that most of these are ending up on eBay!

Yes, the movement durability does concern me.
I'm at work so no. Also only in London so it'll probably be teenage gangs getting a bit stabby....

Not me. But would love to see one in person. Definitely not a day of release purchase for me.
The Alpinist GMT, on the other hand…
