How you organise your watches??

I was wondering how you guys keep your watches organised?

In alphabetical order? By brand? Type of watch? Dial color or just random?

I currently opted for grouping brands together - but keep vintage separate..

Had it organised by style (divers, chronos, digital......) before.

Pretty much random for me. I have a primary watch case that I rotate watches into and out of and that I use as my daily wear box. Other than that, they are not organized in any way at all, excepting that they are either in a case or their original box.😀

I fear I am too OCD for the random storage solution...🤷‍♂️🤣

It's complicated.. 😜

So I have a stand with only Japanese watches, a stand with only Swiss watches, one with watches from the rest of the world including fashion watches that I keep because of sentimental value.

Then I have a box with digis, back row is for casios, front row for seiko/pulsar

Next, I have a box with watches that I wear more often, back row is all automatics (mainly microbrands and chinese homages), front row autos/quartz from Brands with longer history (etc Tissot, Timex, Vostok...)

Finally I have a small box where I dissassembled an old Omega that no longer works mainly showcasing the movement, back etc..

😀

WOW...it sounds complicated, but if it works for you..👍

With a huge variety I guess one has more options to organize as well. But dividing Micros and more heritage rich brands is an interesting one!

I’m the slight antithesis of OCD. I have so few watches, and just want to easily grab them, that I haphazardly toss them in a drawer in my EDC bureau. My apologies for the murder scene:

In display boxes in a very random order.

Here are the projects.  The wearers are protected but not displayed.

·

I place them wherever there is a free spot in the watch box 😀

Is that a custom knife case, with slots for each knife, or is that just a flat drawer filled with knives?

No slots, just a flat, felt lined drawer, with a display lid.

edit: not a drawer, just a display case. I dunno if there’s a technical name for it.

I have a very precise method of organisation for mine. It's taken many years to master and is the result of many failed attempts of using other organisation methods. I could teach it to whoever would like to learn but you'd have to be committed to learning it. It's called 'Chaos Theory' also locally to me called 'sling it where there's space'

I organise mine by the strap type. I go from bracelet then work down to silicone. Bit strange I know.

Lol, hey they seem ok 😀

·

I don't keep mine in any particular order, but I do have tool roles and watch boxes for them.

·

Cannot explain it, but the watch I love the most at the time is always in the center slot of my watch box.

·

By style mostly 😎

Aesthetically? As ridiculous as it is, I really strive for that watch box feng shui. I’m convinced that one day I’ll find an arrangement that, I don’t know, calls ET or something.

Wow I’m surprised I’m the first to say this: chronologically!

I have a Pelican case that I keep all the watches I actually wear in, and they’re organized in the order in which I got them from first to last.

Sorry for the late response...I past out looking at that picture while hyperventilating....

I'm pretty sure that's against some laws 😂😂😂

Interesting...do you adjust every time when you change straps?

Watch collecting in its self is borderline ridiculous...🤣🤣

I keep a diary in that way. Writing down when I bought them and for how much...in case I have to sell....

I end up with the same outcome. My thought process is most casual to most dressy, but that comes down to strap/bracelet in a lot of cases.

Pretty much, but I don't very often change straps. Just once every now and then. When I fancy a change.

·

I have my Automatics, Quartz and Solar arranged in Watch Boxes for each type....My budget watches I keep it in it's display boxes...

I only recently started to swop the bands - basically to limit the urge to buy more watches! Did not work a 100% but slowed down quiet a bit.

Nice and yeah didn't really work out for me either

·

I have a 10 slot watch box, the top row is all Swiss while the bottom row is all Japanese. I also have a 2 watch roll for a Seiko chrono set, and 1 watch roll for my grail Aqua Terra.
